Guest guest
I've started taking larger doses of iodine -- starting with about 20 mg per day. I've noticed two symptoms, and I don't know if they are related to the iodine or not: 1. I've been taking it at night, and I haven't been sleeping well at all. Should I take it in the morning? Or is something else causing the insomnia? 2. It seems to upset my stomach a bit. But I am not sure if it is the iodine or one of the other 10,000 supplements I take, or a combination. Does iodine have a tendency to upset the stomach? I'm taking Iosol, which is a combination of elemental iodine and potassium iodide. I plan on switching to iodorol when this stuff runs out. Guest guest
Sorry, don't know your name. Yes, take the iodine in the am, preferably w/food. Are you taking the co-factors with it? Vit.c, mag. b-12(methyl), selenium(very important) and celtic sea salt(1/2 - 3/4 tsp. day)? Some people have reported upset stomach...the sea salt and vit. c will help. You can find the info at: www.breastcancerchoices.org under iodine. Good luck. Come on over to the iodine group for lots of info. Guest guest
Thanks for posting this Nonie. I had a good look at the Iodine section and got really excited as I believe I have started to exhibit a few of the Iodine related bromide symptoms. Including severe tingling in the hands and feet. I did increase Lugol's slowly, however apparently omitted a few of the important supplementations. I will give this a try and pulse dose my way up to 100mg as Tony suggests in his protocol. Thanks again, Eva.--- On Thu, 2/5/09, Nonie <nmsammy wrote:Nonie <nmsammyRE: Newbie question on iodine"oleander soup" <oleander soup >Thursday, February 5, 2009, 3:24 AM Sorry, don't know your name.
