Oleander is indeed helpful for a great number of other ailments due in great part to its immune stimulating powers. It has been reported that oleander was studied in Europe in 1986-87 for it's immune boosting power and was found to have fully six times the immune stimulating activity of the two most powerful immune stimulants known to man (two patented immune stiulators from Japan).

It is probably the immune stimulating power of oleander that was the reasons that early reports begin leaking out of it's effectiveness against HIV and hepatitis. Today, a number of people report its effectiveness against a wide variety of conditions including diabetes, arthritis, decreased libido in men, and much more.

People who regularly take oleander report far fewer incidences of colds, flu and other illnesses. The same is true of colloidal silver. and I do not take oleander daily year round. Normally, the maintenance and preventative dose should be about 1 dose every three days. What we do is a couple of times a year take a full month's daily dose just to make sure that nothing is gaining a tiny foothold (some cancers take up to eight years or longer to grow to detectable size) and then take maintenance doses the rest of the time. We do the same thing with inositol/IP6 Cell Forte Max3, but in its case we also give it a complete month's rest a couple of times a year.

Unless you are actively fighting a serious cancer or other illness, it may be a good idea to have supplement free days on a regular basis, and to back off some supplements for a week or more several times a year to avoid having your body trained to rely on supplements to do what it should do naturally with only minimal supplementation of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and such.

Those who are battling cancer, HIV, hepatitis-C and other serious illness need to keep a more steady supply of therapeutic doses of supplements going almost all the time, with perhaps a day break now and then on some supplements. In almost every case, people involved in such a fight have suppressed immune systems that need to be boosted, livers that need to be protected and regenerated and vitamin and mineral deficiencies that must be addressed and corrected until they have beaten their illness and restored their body to functioning properly instead of malfunctioning to make up for deficiencies and impairments.

Hopefully, at some point the battle will be won and the body restored and then a good diet and lifestyle and minimum supplementation can be used to let nature and your immune system take over as it was designed to do.

As for your kids, if it were me I would make sure they eat a healthy diet, get plenty of sunshine and vitamin D3 as well as physical activity and then perhapb give them items like echinacea (for a couple of weeks at a time and then a couple weeks off), extract of wild olive leaf, colloidal silver and perhaps a few other pathogen destroyers and immune boosters on a rotating basis to help avoid colds and flu in season.

Also, the more I find out about black cumin seed oil and curcumin, the more I am impressed.

Oleander would be fine in limited amounts, but there is not likely to be a need unless a child is in poor physical condition or fighting a serious illness like those described above.
