The Budwig groups have their share of close-minded zealots

I love the Budwig Protocol and have great respect for all the successes it has had, but I have to say that some of the zealots on the Budwig groups are close minded people whose wrongful attitude and advice may be preventing people for beating their cancers because of their own muleheadedness and inflexibility. It is like they have their own little cult of personality thing going on.

The Budwig Diet is a great one, but like the Essiac Tea of Renee Caisse, it no longer enjoys the success it once did - and you have to look no farther than this group where several members have tried Budwig and came here because they needed more. The world keeps turning and changing and our nutrition keeps decreasing as our toxins have increased. Too bad some people are unable or unwilling to change with it.

I would match my suggested protocol against Budwig any time. But wait a minute - my protocol recommends including Budwig. Too bad they can't say the same about oleander and other vital supplements they warn their members away from.

I guess we will just have to continue taking advantage of what Budwig has to offer and sadly watch far too many being led away from taking advantage of what we and others have to offer.

You're right Tony.A number of months ago I posted something on their

board to someone desperately looking for help with pancreatic cancer.

I posted a response indicating the good results LDN had with this

particular cancer (in addition to a good plan which included Budwig).

My message was never posted, and the owner of the board sent me a

personal email telling me to not post those kinds of messages as they

weren't budwig compliant, that it was a budwig-only board, " I wasn't

following the the rules " (puleeez) and, if I decided to write the

person an offline message they would find out and ban me. Like I care.

I did it anyway. what a load of........ :)

But they in turn post on the alternative cancer boards touting the

greatness of Budwig. So Budwig is part of a cancer plan, but nothing

else is part of the Budwig plan???? go figure....

Even if one disagrees with a protocol or has not had the same success,

everyone deserves a chance to make up their own mind, especially when

it's in regard to something that HAS worked for so many.

My entire protocol includes a number of things - some not mentioned on

ANY of the boards. :)

I've had the same problems. I just don't post there anymore, although

I do occasionally go over and read some posts.

They act scared. Like the slightest deviation from their protocol will

bring sickness raining down on them. I feel sorry for them. Of

course, they may feel sorry for me! Who knows.

To play devil's advocate, the one thing that does intrigue me is the

high number of success stories they post. The mod over there claims

they has 16 successes in 2008 alone reported to the group. She was

duking it out with me and some others on another board, and she pulled

that number out, and said that no other board could claim 16 successes

in the last year. I couldn't argue with that! So there's a part of me

that still is intrigued by " Budwig pure " . But they do act like

religious zealots, that's for sure!

They do allow discussion of OPC and certain herbs/supplements. And as

I recall some of the testimonies included budwig as part of an overall

protocol, and others were just following only budwig.

Any protocol that helps anyone reverse their cancer is good and I say

hallelujah! :)

My objection was to the threatening sidemail. oh brother.... :)

Yes to everything! The older members in my family who have healed from cancer, always maintained one should read everything, and pick and choose what makes sense. They all cobbled together bits of everything. They all did Budwig & Gerson among various other bits and pieces. Our Soil & Health Association put out an anti-cancer magazine about 20 years ago, and it listed everything with instructions, from herbs to urine. I bought 20 of them and had given 17 away within 3 years! For so many of us we HAVE to take cost into account. There is so much cancer in my family, that we do what we can to prevent, and grow oleander now. One person I know, in her 70's, got a $15,000 loan to pay for Gerson material, then cleaned peoples' houses to repay the loan. I believe she was ripped off by a New Zealand middleman, her neighbour. She got the

products OK, but the price was exorbitant. In the days before the internet it took weeks to check things out, as the cost of international calls was horrendous. We are so fortunate, especially to have people like Tony & in this world.Maracuja--- On Wed, 1/28/09, Tony wrote:Tony The Budwig groups have their share of close-minded zealotsoleander soup Date: Wednesday, January 28, 2009, 2:30 AM

First of all,

what is LDN?

Second, i can understand what you guys are saying about the budwig

forum(have been researching it for a month).

But i think its mostly due to the fact that Dr budwig

said most supplements and antioxidants in particular,

can reduce the healing benefits of the protocol.

I think many people there just figure that this 7 time nominated

prize nobel dr has had really high healing rate, and thus,

they figure they should follow the protocol as much to the letter

as possible, why change what worked so well.

But i understand both sides.
