Integrative Medicine? Let me get on my soapbox!

The problem with integrative medicine is that it is being co-opted into mainstream medicine and a large number of doctors and educational programs are selling out too - including some on the list you gave.

As noted alternative medicine advocate and journalist Peter Barry Chowka has observed, what is happening is that so-called integrative doctors and the "accredited naturopaths" use a mainstream medicine first approach and only have a handful of non traditional methods they use to augment the mainstream drugs and chemo, such as acupuncture, message, yoga, etc.

So, if you go to an integrative medicine doctor for cancer you might get the benefit of some healthier advice about diet, nutrition and/or lifestyle - but for the most part what you are going to get is chemo and a backrub.

In much the same way, representatives from big pharma companies have infiltrated natural health and dietary supplement advocacy groups (and in some instances even formed them), inserted Rima Laibow & General Bert Stubblebine into the health freedom movement to divert money, efforts and attention away from legitimate groups and issues, and made sure that groups like the NIH and the ACS are controlled by members who support only mainstream drugs and give at most token lip service to alternatives.

I am sure that if someone were to dig deep enough they would find mainstream medicine behind the petition to the FDA to regulate colloidal silver and other nano particles of silver as a pesticide.

Don't get your hopes up for the Obama administration. Look at who he appointed to head up the Agriculture and Health departments. One has ties to Monsanto and the other to Merck (and was an advocate of forced Gardasil injections for schoolgirls).

That is why I don't get into politics. The same puppet masters pull the strings of both parties and our system serves the monied elite over the rest of us no matter what slogans and soundbites they feed us.

The mainstream machine is ruthless, clever and hugely well funded - and they leave no stone unturned to defeat or sidetrack DSHEA and what should be our unalienable right to address our personal health issues as we see fit.

And that's the truth!

Tony,

You are right, but I never would have known about Codex if it weren't

for Laibow and the general. Actually, I might have, but later.

If anyone is interested in the Ehret's diet, I would recommend his

books. He highly recommends a transition to his mucusless diet. I read

the book years ago and am in the process of reading it again. Too bad

I didn't follow it 100% 36 years ago when I first read it.

Thank you for that. I guess I am not cynical enough yet. Are there

any politicians out there that have a truly alternative agenda. Any

countries that can be considered pioneering in their health

policies???

Will our kids maybe get the opportunities that we don't health wise -

probably not if we don't take more care of our world they will

probably be spending their time trying to salvage what is left of

this planet.

Hi Nelly,The only prominent figure that I can name off the top of my head who is fighting for our health freedoms is Ron Paul. I am sure that there must be others, although the media will do everything possible so that their message is not heard, as the plan is to move swiftly and steadily towards CODEX. The best thing that we can do is make our voices heard. Write and call your representatives to let them know how you feel about true alternative measures and our health freedoms. In my heart, I believe that natural healing will remain alive, one way or another, and those who seek will find it. However, if we don't make our voices heard, it will not be widely available and our children will not reap the benefits. It is up to us to educate our children with regard to health and natural healing and, hopefully, they will listen.Hugs, oleander soup , "N. Cave" <nellycave wrote:>> Thank you for that. Nelly, Cuba comes to mind. About 15 or 20 years ago I remember reading about their organic agriculture. Necessity was the mother of invention in that case - the big American pesticide companies didn't get a look in. I was reminded of it this week when info from the Zeus Service arrived. However, the average wage there is $30 per month. I bet they don't have the Western obesity problem though as there probably is no McDonalds etc.MaracujaALTERNATIVE HEALTH
