Guest guest
I've been looking around on the web, and it appears that all supplements are very limited in their iodine quantity. Many of the higher iodine solutions are now restricted because they are used in making " meth " . I did do a search of this in this newsgroup but didn't find an answer. I am also wondering (playing devil's advocate) why if iodine deficiency is so common, we don't see goiters these days?
Guest guest
Iodine is widely available in tincture forum and, while the amount of iodine that can be sold in one bottle is limited, you can order more than one bottle and use as much as you wish (within safe limits of course). One source of good quality iodine is Utopia Silver. They buy a very well known quality brand of iodine in bulk and relabel it as Utopia Naturals Iodine. If you are interested I can also give you a source of Potassium Iodine that is made by a good friend of mine at CureZone. I take some every day. It is best to take both iodine and potassium iodine when fighting cancer (and selenium is a must when taking iodine - the best form of selenium for fighting cancer is methylselenocysteine). The most common cause for goitre is iodine deficiency but the amount of iodine needed to prevent goiters is much less than the amount needed for optimum health and the use of iodized salt is likely the reason we see so few goiters. In countries that use iodized salt, Hashimoto's thyroiditis becomes the most common cause. oleander soup , "jrrjim" <jim.mcelroy10 wrote:>> I've been looking around on the web, and it appears that all > supplements are very limited in their iodine quantity.> > Many of the higher iodine solutions are now restricted because they are > used in making "meth". > > I did do a search of this in this newsgroup but didn't find an answer.> > I am also wondering (playing devil's advocate) why if iodine deficiency > is so common, we don't see goiters these days?>
Guest guest
Jim, Just found this at a Linus Pawling site. The best source of iodine is seaweed. Here is the link: http://lpi.oregonstate.edu/infocenter/minerals/iodine/. Guest guest
I believe there are several problems with seaweed. First, you cannot get your iodine levels up high enough quickly enough if you have cancer using just seaweed. Second, there may be problems with pollution in the seaweed, such as heavy metals and other toxins that get washed in to the ocean. Who knows where the seaweed is harvested - right outside some chemical plant off the coast of Japan? oleander soup , " Jay " <jplas9999 wrote: > > > Jim, > Just found this at a Linus Pawling site. Guest guest
Actually, Jay, the best source of iodine is Lugol's or the tablet form, Iodoral. Seaweed is often high in arsenic and other toxic metals. If you find a clean source be prepared to eat a lot to get your tissues saturated. See Dr. David Brownsteins' book on Iodine or check the Iodine Project. http://www.drbrownstein.com/ http://www.optimox.com/pics/Iodine/IOD-08/IOD_08.htm Nonie> > Jim,> Just found this at a Linus Pawling site. Guest guest
Tony I would like a link to your friends product. I think the price has gone up on what I was buying. I'd like to buy some for my daughter if you think its as good as lugol's. I was using Lugols but it started to hurt my stomach. I felt so much better while I was using it. I plan to order the pills from Dr. Brownsteins' site for myself. I haven't because I have been putting off testing. I plan to join the group thats being followed for breast cancer. It would just be preventative because its been six years since my surgery. I ordered the Lugol's from this site: https://www.jcrows.com/lugolsiodineorderform.html BarbH oleander soup , Nonie <nmsammy wrote: > > > Actually, Jay, the best source of iodine is Lugol's or the tablet form, Iodoral. Guest guest
Nonie, I am currently reading his book. I just wish I could find an alternative MD in SC. SC is about 25 years behind the times. When I lived in NYC and then Cincinnati I was fortunate to have one in both places. I didn't know about the Hep C at the time. Guest guest
Tony, I have been using Atomodine (Heritage)for about 60 days. I started with one drop a day. I have been increasing slowly and now up to five a day. I seem to have more drive, not too shure. My question is how much is too much? Thanks David oleander soup , " Tony " wrote: > > > There is also Atomodine, Magnascent and SSKI, which is the Potassium > Iodine made by my very good friend at CureZone and what both and > myself take dailly. > > > > > oleander soup , Nonie <nmsammy@> wrote: > > > > > > Actually, Jay, the best source of iodine is Lugol's or the tablet > form, Iodoral. Guest guest
Liquid Lugols can be taken by rubbing it on the skin, usually the inner forearms. It just absorbs in. Guest guest
In talking with the Manufacturer of Magnascent Iodine, in my radio interview with him,John mentioned his success in India with Drs there giving 10 drops of this 2 or 3 times daily.in the mouth with a little water. He also suspects that since Iodine pulls out heavy metals like Mercury from the body - while this good it may also pull to many other minerals out as well in larger doses. This would then necessitate higher doses of mineral supplements. In asking Dr Brownstein in general how much a dear friend of mine needed to take of Iodine he suggested starting with 1 drip of Lugols and working up to 16 a day = about 200 mg daily.so one could figure this out from the strength of the iodine one is using. except with Magascent Iodine -since this is in an atomic level one take s a whole lot less...I have taken 50 drops at one time but now take 10 drops 2ce a day...Colin Ryanewww.HolisticRadioShow.com
