We are still fighting the TGA that is meant to harmonise our "health" industry with Australia's. Feel sorry for the Aussie taxpayers - they had to pay compensation to Pan because the TGA was so heavy-handed in wrongfully removing Pan's products from shop shelves. The mainstream news performed like trained seals they are, when the YKW hit the fan (front page news and many "OpEds" about the danger of natural products)but were unusually silent (buried past page 10) when it proved to be a pHARMa beatup! My favourite mail order company has "NZ orders only please" next to so many products now as they are not allowed to post to Australia.Had a quick look but also sent request to fabulous cook - my DDIL. Nothing yet. Before my DGS was born she did corporate catering - very fancy stuff! Now she is into organic, and mostly raw food

recipes. Beautiful!Even better than her culinary skills is a 2nd hand book shop close to where she lives. When I was home-schooling, I haunted this particular shop and was able to get text books from over 50 years ago which were written as though the children being taught weren't dummies! We give each other gift vouchers for this shop as it gives hours of pleasure like no other impersonal voucher could. Now I'm way OT! Sorry! I was just imagining that first inhale as you open their front door.Is there rehab for those who get high on the smell of old books?Maracuja--- On Fri, 1/9/09, Tony wrote:Tony Re: brainwashed aussies ? LOLOLOL!

No, dear, you are one of the unbrainwashed ones. I did not mean that as a slam on Aussies in general and I probably should have expounded a bit. You see, I love Aussies, but the fact is that the health authorities in Australia are much more intune with mainstream medicine and much more suppressive of natural alternatives than are the ones in New Zealand. That is hardly your fault or the fault of any other open minded Aussie who knows and embraces natural healing any more than it is my fault that the United States authorities are pretty much completely under the thumb of Big Pharma and the mainstream medicine folks.

Hugs to YOU anyway!

How can any body or country win when they have to fight big Pharma.

The Austalian people where as surprised as any body was in the world, and to make things worse from then on things are going down hill fast.

We not allow to bring anything in, that's why i can not buy from the internet nothing, but i can buy from NZ though question mark why?

to messy for me to look into it now.

Dear Mary,It's a tough row to hoe alright! Our FDA equivalent is trawling the internet and threatening suppliers for "making claims" about the properties of supplements and herbs. You and I call it education. They are so stupid, suppressing vital information. It will eventually come to NZ - part & parcel of the worldwide kowtowing to pHARMa - Codex Alimentarius. Believe me, I feel for you. Our soils are deficient in selenium, and we will have to get special dispensation to use it. One stockist has had his selenium removed because he fulfilled an Aussie order. We need more Aussie cities going fluoride-free methinks.Love you,Mara--- On Fri, 1/9/09, Maria Stathopoulos <mary1kon wrote:Maria

Dear Mara.

My hope is that the new Government of Australia, go soft on natural health and supplements and hard on Big Pharma, especially now with the economy the way it is, but i'm hopping against hope and that's very upseting.

You will thing that they will be glad if people took care of themselfs, with natural supplements instad of killing medicine, that costs the Government and health care a bundle.

But we can talk till we are blue in the face, it will not change nothing and we know it.

Have a lovely day and take care.

Mary, I am not sure why you think we cannot import anything into Australia. I personally import most things from the US, and I have never had anything sent back or rejected. I do always make sure to check with customs first, though. Hi Eva,

I say that because, the customs open my parcels keep the things and send me a note telling me, the product is dangerous or could be dangerous to Australias wild life blah blah, or this product is not allow to come in.

On the other hand you send anything out of Australia cloths, toys or even seeds they dont mind, but they dont allow things to enter the country willy nilly, that's has been my expirience so far and i'm only talking about myself.

What you are telling me is that every time i like to bring something in, i have to call them to get their ok first, and then go ahead with the order, that's a big ask for me.

Regards Mary
