Guest guest
The preliminary report of yesterday's blood draw at Alta Bates Comprehensive Cancer Center (Berkely) was received by fax this afternoon and I am pleased with the results. I have both prostate cancer and heart disease. My PSA count continues its downward trend as follows: Date | PSA | PSA doubling time | Testosterone Range|<4.0| 2.51 years at Dx (6/26/08)| 241-827 07/22/08 | 31.3 | 2.28 | 1550 09/23/08 | 25.0 | 2.66 | 0916 11/11/08 | 22.9 | 2.87 | 0573 12/11/08 | 21.3 | 3.04 | ---- 01/05/09 | 21.1 | 3.10 | 0228 I was able to squeeze in the test on 12/11/08 by getting my cardiologist to add that test to his requisition for blood work done on at that time. That testing did not include a testosterone reading. I started taking Sutherlandia OPC (in liquid form) on July 25, 2008, as an essential part of my protocol. My testosterone reading is declining because I suspended all supplementation with testosterone gel-cream, progesterone cream, DHEA and Pregnenolone on 11/11/08 -- pending completion of a series of saliva testings at Diagnos-Techs in my attempt to restore and maintain proper hormone balance following my earlier experience on ADT (androgen deprivation therapy), which was aborted on 11/16/06. I am particularly pleased with some of the numbers in my CBC (complete blood count). My serum calcium level at 9.2 backed off a bit from its previous high of 9.5 (12/11/08), but my phosphorus level has now reached my target goal of 4.0 for the first time. I expect to see solid progress in the battle against osteoporosis in my next Dpd bone marker test on 2/15/09. Here are the numbers: Date || Calcium | Phosphorus | Ca/P ratio Goal || ~ 10.0 | ~ 4.0 || ~ 2.50 07/22/08 || 8.8 | 3.5 | 2.51 09/23/08 || 8.9 | 3.9 | 2.28 11/11/08 || 8.9 | 3.6 | 2.47 12/11/08 || 9.5 | 3.8 | 2.50 01/05/09 || 9.2 | 4.0 | 2.30 Duane Christensen Dx 6.26.06 @ 68, bPSA 14.9, bPSADT 2.51 yrs, T2c Gl 3+3 {reread 4+3 @ Johns Hopkins} | ADT (5 mns) + chemo (2 mns) aborted 11.16.06 | Protocel 19 mns (11.1.06-6.14.08) | Laetrile (1.11-5.16.08) & maintenance -- w/ Essiac Tea (6.14.08), IP-6 (6.20.08), Flax Hull Lignans (6.23.08); Sutherlandia OPC (7.25.08); Budwig FOCC (9.17.08); Ayurstate (10.2.08); Iodine Therapy (12.26.08).
