Guest guest
So sorry to have heard about your aunt. You are probably right at being angry at the doctor; however I want to say that I have a friend who has cancers, which seems to be similar to your aunts' . It's spreading, and the doctors now have found that it has spread to the brain. They are now recommending brain surgery to remove the tumors. I have to question whether or not this is really going to prolong his life and if it does, what will be the quality of it? True doctors are doctors, and we need to be more proactive with our care, but knowing or not knowing really going to make a difference? My condolences to you and your family. Guest guest
She did go through chemotherapy but by that time the tumor in her brain grew. if they had detected it when they should have possibly the chemo could have helped. so by the time they began chemo the cancer had spread very quickly. Guest guest
<alkanav wrote: > > spread. So due to the negligience of the CHIEF ONCOLOGIST Alkanav Sincere heartfelt love to you and your family. If I may share a story of a friend recently. He has had many problems over the years (was originally run over by his own tractor)..... in particular he wears a pacemaker and has had it operated on a few times, battery replacement, new wires, wires left behind causing infection .. etc. Most currently, he was feeling very debilitated and saw doctors and the local heart specialist who said " well, at this time you have what we would call 'heart failure'.. " My friend happened to be travelling to see family and in the process called in to see his city heart specialist who agreed to do further tests (the previous specialist refused further tests). The result was, " nothing wrong with your heart, we'd better do an exploratory angiogram " ... which determined that his recently implanted new 'stints' had blocked (they'd used the cheapo ones because he was a public patient). So they re-did the stints, inserting better quality ones inside the blocked ones and he is now recovering well. Had he taken the advice of the local heart 'specialist' he would have been one of the many to just go off and wait to die. So you are very right, we must take responsibility for our own health and follow things through with more than one enquiry... and more. A peaceful heart to you Ric
Guest guest
Black Seed Oil can be gotten from Black Seed Herbs www.blackseedherb.com they are located in Liberty, NY and I have been buying the oil and soap from them for several years. Sorry to hear about your SCLC but if you follow Marc and Tony's advice hopefully it will not come back. Teri
Guest guest
Dear Ted welcome to the group, i'm guesing that most people are on holydays, so i'm butting in, to give you some information on your questions, oleander soup or OPC will boost your immune system after the chemo, and if your Doctor does not know about OPC, or Oleander, but goes not approved either, i will question her ability to help you, it's your health your body, do what you need to do and what your heart tells you to do. As for Black seed- Nigella sativa i buy the seeds from Assian Grosery stores. Ted you will be ok if you follow Tony's Cancer protocol on the site included here. good luck and dont wait until January is my suggestion. It was found in the right lung and the pleural fluid but nowhere else in my body. Since then I have been taking chemotherapy every three weeks and the response has been good. I have not been sick from the chemo and my blood tests are good. I have been walking up to three miles and seem to be in better shape than I was before I got sick. However my doctor is not optimistic for the long term since sclc nearly always comes back. I have ordered sutherlandia OPC from Marc and plan to start taking it when I finish chemotherapy in January. I wanted to start taking it now but my doctor does not approve since she does not know how it will react with chemotherapy. Can anyone offer me any encouragement or suggestions? Also I am looking for a good source for Black Seed Oil (Nigella Sativa) since Marc has added this to his recommended protocol. Thanks.Ted Lewis
Guest guest
Hi Ted,First of all, I would like to welcome you to the group. In reply to your questions, although we do not advocate chemo, if that is the chosen method, Sutherlandia OPC will minimize or eliminate the side effects of chemo. However, if the drug Cisplatin is used, it does not prevent hair loss. Again, when chemo is the chosen method used to combat cancer, it seems to work together with the chemo in reducing tumors. For instance, physicians that are open to alternative methods and using Sutherlandia OPC as part of the treatment find that a less amount of chemo is needed.Warm regards, oleander soup , "tedlewis41" <tedlewis41 wrote:>> I was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer on October 3, 2008. Guest guest
Dear Ted, Welcome! So sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis.Take the S/OPC regardless of what the doc says, just because she doesn't know what it is doesn't mean it won't help you. In the whole scheme of things you are your own physician and know what is best for yourself. The S/OPC will help with the side effects of the chemotherapy at the very least. I'm sure Tony or here will chime in on the many other benefits of the S/OPC.
