Hey Tony, Get off the Internet and start celebrating! But when you're back. tiny tiny amounts of bioperine is usually paired with curcumin for increased absorption. I'm still trying to figure out the minimal amount needed of coconut oil, bromelain, etc, to get optimal absorption. I looked up oregano oil at your suggestion, adding that too.

So stuffed with supplements I have neither appetite nor money for actual food! Rhoda

I'm trying, I'm trying. A family emergency has me a bit addled at the moment. My father was in a horrible accident yesterday and I am trying to cope by not thinking about it, but impossible not to. He is going to live, thankfully, but it will be a long road for recovery with all the things they have to put back together on the old guy.

Actually, kind of a miracle he lived from the description. He hit a patch of ice, spun out of control, flipped his truck three times, went over the guardrail and off the overpass and the truck landed on top of him. Had to cut him out of the truck and careflight him to the hospital.

Some surgeries and rehab ahead, but he is in relatively good form and keeping in the family tradition today thanks no doubt to the morphine pain drip. He keeps flirting with the nurses and telling them how pretty they are - lol.

Thanks for the info on bioperine. I was not aware of it.

So sorry to hear about your dad... so happy to learn he's going to make it! Well at least he gets to flirt with some pretty girls for Xmas.

Black Pepper is also supposed to increase the effectiveness of turmeric and curcumin.Personally, I j take turmeric just after I have eaten a meal with lots of black pepper.Jackdaw

Black pepper. One of the chemicals in ordinary black pepper, piperine,

seems to improve the bioavailability of turmeric. In fact, researchers

at St. John's Medical College in Bangalore, India, found that combining

turmeric with black pepper may significantly increase the body's

ability to use it.

The combination of black pepper and turmeric from your friendly spice

rack is perfect for people who are on a budget--and these days, I'd say

that's just about everyone. Go to an Indian grocery store and choose

the yellowest variety of turmeric you can find. I think you can safely

guess that the yellower it is, the more curcumin it contains. A

one-pound bag should cost between $3 and $5, a lot cheaper than what

you'll pay for brand-name versions of turmeric, which usually have a

hefty price of $3 for just a few grams. While you're there, get an

ounce of fresh black peppercorns. Grind the peppercorns into powder and

mix it with the turmeric. You've just created a 10-month supply of

anti-inflammatory medicine for around $5.
