Guest guest
I've been taking 4 capsules of OPC for the last 3 months. My PSA was 30 three months ago and it was measured at 600 today. It doesn't appear the OPC helped at all. I'm going back on my Casadex tomorrow and hopefully it will help get me back. I've been taking the IP-6 Inostiol since the 1st of December. I've also tried to eat well. Any Ideas? Thanks, Carl
Guest guest
Carl, You can try as escharotic paste taken internally... it's like herbal chemotherapy but will probably rid your body of the cancer. It's a bit harsh and some folks experience nausea, but it is effective when all else fails. Call Ralph Schauss at Vitae Elixir Co. 307 266-5310. He is the owner of the company. Their paste, called BCGG, is made in the USA in a pharmacutical grade lab. It is a blood root based product as is their Vitae Elixir, which is a liquid. He may have to take both. Be sure never to take them on an empty stomach. Good luck. Bob - " Carl Fritch " <carlfritch <oleander soup > Tuesday, December 23, 2008 6:36 PM Bad report from my doctor. Guest guest
Carl - Sometimes it takes awhile, but 600 is a pretty elevated level and represents a jump unlike any I have seen before. Tests and markers can vary widely and be more than a little bit off during the first 2 or 3 months while the initial battle is being fought and (usually) won against cancer. Even so, I do not blame you for your concern and if I were you I too would be looking to do more. I notice that you said that in addition to the OPC you have been taking Inositol/IP6 (but less than a month) and trying to eat right. Those are all good things to do, though the IP6 has not had much time yet. When you say you are trying to eat right, are you following my advice to include the flaxseed and cottage cheese part of the Budwig diet and to eat a mostly raw and mostly vegetarian diet as much as possible, including plenty of raw and juiced vegetables? How about cleansing and detoxing? Are you taking iodine and selenium? Colloidal silver? Zinc? How about the Jon Barron Blood Support? All of those are elements that could help you. Quercitin has been cited as effective against prostate cancer too. Studies have found that curcumin has been very effective against prostate cancer and may even be able to halt it altogether. If it were me, I would be doing all of the above - and as many other elements of my suggested protocol as possible. Every item is there for a reason. As you are probably aware, when elevated PSA levels are noted, chances are that the cancer is no longer limited to just the prostate. For metastatic cancer, a comprehensive anti-cancer program that addresses many elements of what we know and think we know about the cause and remedy of cancer is what myself and many other other natural health advocates believe is likely the best option. Casadex, which can be obtained in both prescription and non-prescription form, is a common mispelling of Casodex, which is in turn one of the forms of the drug Bicatlutamide, which has been effective for a great many people. Bicatlutamide is used with another medication (luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone [LHRH]; such as leuprolide or goserelin) to treat metastatic prostate cancer (cancer that started in the prostate and has spread to other parts of the body). Bicalutamide is in a class of medications called nonsteroidal antiandrogens. It works by blocking the effect of androgen (a male hormone), to stop the growth and spread of cancer cells. This agent does not bind to most mutated forms of androgen receptors and it is generally acknowledged that it will neither cure nor will it be effective beyond a limited amount of time, generally in the neighborhood of a couple of years, though there have been reports of longer periods. Bob suggested the Vitae Elixxir. Here is an article from one of my favorite sources which you may wish to take a look at: UPDATED 8/13/07 Ann Fonfa just spoke to Ralph Schauss. He is now 85 years old. He told me he still anwers the phone and receives about 15 calls per day, 7 days a week. I asked him if he had help - he said his daughter and someone else. He WILL take your call. This is a product created under the guidance of an individual who is not connected to a cancer center. It has been around for some time. It contains 11 main ingredients and 7 trace minerals. It is used both internally and externally. The inventor of this product speaks to each patient and advises on how to use the herbal mixture. I spoke to him at length one day in August, 1999. He takes a history of your disease and tells you the specific amount and which mixture will be beneficial. I asked for a list of others who had used the product successfully and he did provide one.According to information I have received from several sources, the herbal extract can be added to any kind of juice, water or even food. It can be placed in gelatin capsules. You must drink a full glass of liquid with it.The product has been used by very young children and by the elderly. Apparently you cannot overdose and no toxicity level has been found. (CAUTION: some people could be allergic or sensitive to an ingredient. As I am "chemically sensitive", I sometimes react to unusual stimlulus). The inventor also likes people to keep in touch and let him know how they are doing with the herbal extract. It is said to take from 30 to 60 days to begin working effectively. Remission can be identified in most cancers within 5 to 9 months they say. Cancer cells do not develop tolerance to the product. It is stated that users may experience a "healing crisis" where they feel worse before getting well. Blood markers and conventional bone scans, X-rays, MRI or CT scans are said to be inaccurate for the first 3-4 months under this treatment. Some people report shooting pains surrounding the cancer or tumor area. The herbal mix is also said to eliminate internal parasites and improve colitis and other digestive impairments. Patients may experience diarrhea, intestinal gas or pain for a few days or weeks. It is said to work well with autoimmune diseases as well. The protocol is complex in terms of how often, when and how much so you must contact one of two organizations that offer this treatment in order to benefit. It is not FDA approved and has never been clinically tested.Information from:CANHELP, 1994 posting (Patrick McGrady, Jr):"Vitae Elixxir is an option that appears to have succeeded in arresting even some advanced cancers. After talking to a dozen people who have tried this herbal extract mixture for their advanced cancers, I believe it may turn out to be extremely useful for both prophylaxis and treatment.Let it be said this has not undergone any rigorous independent testing or peer-review publication. This is an herbal mixture sold to cancer patients by a Casper, Wyoming man by the name of Ralph Schauss. It is relatively inexpensive (about $175 for a two months' supply), and he does not advertise. I was referred to a half-dozen patients by Mr. Schauss (he is not a doctor of any kind) with very difficult, advanced, and pretreated tumor situation -- and all of them responding with absolutely remarkable remissions and stabilization, for several years for the most part.I talked with each one and was impressed with their credibility. A client of mine spoke with 40 cancer patients referred to him by Mr. Schauss, and said all but 2 had very positive things to say about the benefits they received from this concoction. This very thick, bad-tasting herbal formula also seems to regulate several other degenerative conditions including arthritis, multiple sclerosis, lymphomas, leukemias and multiple myeloma. The therapy is adversely affected by hydrogen peroxide therapies. Normal dosage, as I understand it, is from 2 to perhaps as many as 20 drops in liquids daily. Schauss is a friendly man and says that he is always willing to advise cancer patients on dosages and the need for a concomitant positive attitude and lifestyle changes. This is a therapy without documentation, without a physician to monitor it (neither of which I'm happy with), but with such powerful testimonials I cannot ignore it.But you certainly may. If you are curious, however, Ralph Schauss' address is P.O. Box 3857, Casper WY 82602.h Phone: 307-266-5310. He will return your call if you mention the name of someone he knows. I should add that almost every day I come across other people who have used these drops with great benefit." Remember we are NOT Doctors and have NO medical training.I hope you find the information I compiled here helpful - and please let us know how you are doing on a regular basis. Of course we wish you the very best and will be here for you. oleander soup , "Carl Fritch" <carlfritch wrote:>> I've been taking 4 capsules of OPC for the last 3 months. > > My PSA was 30 three months ago and it was measured at 600 today.> > It doesn't appear the OPC helped at all. > > I'm going back on my Casadex tomorrow and hopefully it will help get> me back.> > I've been taking the IP-6 Inostiol since the 1st of December. > > I've also tried to eat well.> > Any Ideas?> > Thanks,> Carl>
Guest guest
A few more ideas in addition to what I wrote earlier: First, plenty of good organic green tea. Green tea has an antioxidant, EGCG, which works together with curcumin (which I previously posted about earlier) to inhibit prostate cancer. Curcumin may be best when mixed with coconut milk or oil and perhaps also a bit of krill oil. Second, CoQ10 in doses of 400-600 mg or higher has been effective against prostate and other cancers (whereas deficiencies in CoQ10 are common in those who have cancer) . Third, bromelain has many healing properties and, perhaps most importantly, is a strong binder which may help significantly with the absorption of many supplements. oleander soup , "Carl Fritch" <carlfritch wrote:>> I've been taking 4 capsules of OPC for the last 3 months.

Guest guest
Yes... I haven't been able to get up to 6 pills a day. I keep having odd side effects and 4 a day has been all I handle. I would think that 4 would help though. It doesn't appear to have helped at all. My PSA started rising again 9 months ago. Up until yesterday the doctor has been testing me every 3 months so here is how it's progressed. June PSA 22 August took 4 OPC a day for about a month but run out for several weeks Sept PSA 30 Got OPC again and worked back up to 4 a day Dec PSA 600 Both me and the doctor are shocked at how fast it climbed. oleander soup , Matt Ackerman <agzooer wrote: > > Quick question if that's okay. Hopefully we can figure out why it isn't working for me and move forward. Thanks, Carl

I should add that almost every day I come across other people who have used these drops with great benefit." Any comments or suggestions. Tony, Thanks for supplying the info on Vitae Elixir and Mr. Schauss. I have been using this product for 18 years on horses. It has never failed to rid them of melanomas or sarcoid tumors when applied topically. It is obviously good for various skin cancers. Taking it internally is sometimes difficult and must always be accompanied with food and a good protein source (soymilk has worked well). Both the BCGG and Vitae Elixir are blood root based products along with other herbs and minerals. Bob - Tony oleander soup Tuesday, December 23, 2008 8:24 PM Re: Bad report from my doctor. Any comments or suggestions.
