Guest guest
Talking of Boron a member of one of the groups I belong to swears by boron as having solved his arthritis problems. Here's what he had to say. Once daily, lick an index finger to the first joint, stick in borax, lick off, tastes sweet. Or, 1/8 teaspoon. 4-6 days a week. Overdo it and you'll get a Herx from it. He uses Ten Mule Team Borax. Guest guest
This article is about sodium tetraborate which I believe is borax, (I hope). Several years ago, on some chat group Boxax was discussed. I tried some but I got chicken and stopped using it. Does anyone have fresh ideas about Boraxo, 40 Mule Team? Guest guest
I'm sorry I do not know. Guest guest
No, it's not toxic to animals, in small amounts. I put borax on my dog when he was itching so badly, and nothing the vet or health food store gave us would help him. It almost immediately stopped the itching. Someone told me it was probably because the borax killed mites. Could be. Or it could be he just needed boron. :-) Samala, Renee ---- Matt Ackerman 12/22/2008 4:20:00 PM oleander soup RE: food and arthritis I'm sorry I do not know. Guest guest
Yeah--they have to tell you that. You CAN take too much, but wetting the index finger and sticking it in up to the first joint (just below your finger nail) 3 or 4 times a week is perfectly safe. And good for you, if you live in an area that is boron deficient. Which is most of America, today. Samala, Renee ---- I Have a box of 20 Mule Team Borax and it states NOT TO INGEST.
