I have been taking Oleander (pills from Marc) since Nov. 21, 2008. I started with 1 twice a day and

moved up to 2 twice a day. The higher dose has caused constant diarrhea. I stopped it yesterday

and my stools seems better. I don't know what to do. I don't want to quit. I'm Stage

IV breast cancer. Any suggestions?

Also I am taking Lugol's 2.2% Iodine and following the directions precisely. i.e. twice a

week with 3-4 drops in water with a little Apple Cider Vinegar. So how many milligrams is

that? How do I know if I'm getting enough? I'm afraid to take more. Any help with that

would be appreciated.

Thank you so much. This group is great!

Karen,

Take a level of oleander that agrees with you... two pills a day sounds like it works for you... then stay with that level. Often that is enough for your condition anyway.... if you want to take more wait a few weeks before adding one more, wait again and then add another. Back off if it is too much to a level that agrees with you and stay there. You might want to take a good probiotic supplement as well... it could help with the diarrhea.

Hi Karen

Go to www.breastcancercho ices.org for

information about taking iodine. There is also a iodine group that

gives out a lot of good information about iodine at http://health.iodine/

In my opinion you are not taking enough iodine and should probably be at least

at the 50 mg/daily level when dealing with cancer. Many decide to take

Iodoral (Lugols in pill form) rather than liquid Lugols.

We also have some very informative articles about iodine up at: http://www.oasisadvancedwellness.com/learning/thyroid-health-articles.html

Dear Karen,

I had the exact same problem and Marc helped me through it outside off the forum via email, he was extremely helpful. The first three weeks I was fine and then OH MY GOSH I had horrible, painful diarrhea for almost 6 weeks straight, it was nightmare for sure. I was getting quite scared. I would go off and on it. I then began to get a bit better. But the real help was when he suggested that I may have a systemic fungal issue. That I should consider taking a drug called Dyflucan or Nystatin. I chose the stronger one Dyflucan because I had already tried the Nystatin and knew mine was a deep long going problem. Made sense to me as I have suspected it all along since I was diagnosed with breast cancer back in June 2006. Long story short... I have tried everything since to get rid of it naturally to no avail, I mean really tried, you can ask Marc! I apparently have had it about 20 or so years and now can trace back to when it started to occur. (I contracted a fingernail fungus from a restaurant job back in my twenties). Then I was constantly being prescribed antibiotics by doctors for my so called sinus infections) Anyone who knows me knows that I'm very anti prescription drug but I had to do this one because it was too serious to keep living with the fungus issue. I always felt like I had a sinus infection and coughing green stuff, congested etc. I have been on the Dyflucan for about 2 weeks now and feel the difference. Make sure though that you take liver support herbs(milk thistle, artichoke, dandelion) and do a liver flush when you are finished with the drug and eat pretty much a vegan diet (as per Marc). There is a product called Liver Rescue Three that combines the 3 herbs and take tons of enzymes & probiotics.

Hi Karen,

Why not join the iodine group for precise info on how to take it? I am taking 62.5 mg of the tablet form of Lugol's (Iodoral) and the supporting co-factors. You will get lots of great info on that list.

You might rtry healing bentonite clay to firm your stool.

Good luck.

I wonder how many of those who have diarrhea also take colloidal silver? I have found that colloidal silver generally puts a quick stop to stomach upset and diarrhea - and it is also deadly on just about all fungus when you take a good quality in sufficient quantity. Many people have used it to beat candida (both singly and in combination with other items such as oil of oregano, coconut oil and perhaps bentonite clay).

Just yesterday I had pretty bad stomach cramps and a couple of quick trips to the loo minutes apart, if you know what I mean. I took about an ounce of Utopia Silver's finest and was fine in about a half an hour. Perhaps it may help some of you take closer to the maximum amount.

Colloidal silver is also a good cancer fighter in many instances. If I had breast cancer, I would be sure to take oleander along with colloidal silver, inositol/IP6, iodine, Jon Barron's Blood Support, vitamin D3 and selenium for sure. And plenty of probiotics too.

Of course, if I had any kind of cancer I would try to follow my suggested protocol as closely as possible. It is designed to help as many people as possible beat as many kinds of cancer as possible.

Yes, I do and did the colloidal silver when I had my bout, guess my fungus was just too deep or something. I had it a very long time, like I said about 2 decades. I also tried the oregano, olive leaf, and coconut. In addition, I tried many candida herbal combos as well. I can't tell you how many things I tried over the course of two years. Plus I eat like a monk too. It was so stubborn. I also do the colon hydrotherapy which is a great detoxer and whole house cleaner... LOL.

I certainly don't like the fact I had to lower my standards and go to big pharma but I was at a loss for sure and so was Marc.

Yes, I recall you telling us earlier about your struggles. You used a good combination that would work for a great many people. When it comes to stubborn long term candida, the key is usuyally to use enough quantity and enough quality of the colloidal silver. For example, two ounces or more of Utopia Silver's Advanced Colloidal Silver each day for up to two straight weeks, along with oil of oregano, coconut oil and bentonite clay. Plus probiotics.

No doubt funal overgrowth can contribute to the diarrhea and work against resolving it.

When people tell me infrequently that they have tried colloidal silver without success against Candida, I always ask them if they tried what I suggested above. No one yet has said that they did. In many instances they only took a couple of teaspoons or so, which is not a therapeutic dose for ANY condition, much less one like systemic and prolonged candida.

Yes, I was taking 2-3 ounces, but then I believe I'm an exception. I'm learning how very deep seated my fungal infection is/was. It is getting better currently on my latest fight against it with the dyflucan, flushes, diet.

Yes, it has been a recurring struggle over the course of years with allergies, sinus infections, pleurisy, toenail fungus, coughing up green gobs, chronic burping, you name it.

I was suggesting it to Karen because she may well have it and not realize it, or it may not be that deep and she can do the supplements, hopefully for her it will resolve with that approach. It struck me because we both had the breast cancer and I often wonder if it helped contribute to my breast cancer. I forever did not know about fungal infections until I was diagnosed with cancer. I believe many suspect or think they have it but don't realize how serious it can be or is. It appeared to have contributed to most of my ills in the pasts decades.

I think that if one suspects they have it definately try the healthier route FIRST for sure, you will know if it works of course. If not there is a yucky alternative if it is indeed a stubborn deeply systemic infection.

I remember when taking the oregano that is worked while I was taking it then after I stopped it seem to just surface back. My holistic heath practioner tried for two years to get me to take something pharmacuetical I fought it. Like I said I don't advocate drugs on any level BUT I had to take a different approach this time. I was so tired of living with it.

Not to be the grand inquisitor, but did you take 2-3 ounces of Utopia Silver colloidal silver and at the same time also take oil of oregano, coconut oil and bentonite clay? If not Utopia Silver, what brand or form did you take?

Sometimes diarrhea is caused by contaminated water. Almost impossible to have that here in the US, but due to floodings, runoffs, waterways could contain pathogens that make people sick. Boil your water even if it is from municipal reservoirs. Our water can contain barium from fuels of planes, just not sure if that would be eradicated by boiling.

Thanks Melly,

I drink only distilled water for the past 7 years.

My diarrhea seems to have disappeared in the last
