Guest guest
Hi Jill, Colloidal silver also tends to kill the intestinal flora. That is why it is good to also take probotics. Guest guest
There is a lot of conflicting information about colloidal silver, ionic silver and the effect of silver on beneficial bacteria. Some claim it has no effect on beneficial bacteria, some claim it MOSTLY affects pathogens and others claim it is indiscriminate against all bacteria. From what I have learned colloidal silver makes it to and through the gut much better than ionic silver and that is why colloidal silver is preferred for internal use whereas ionic silver is considered best for topical use. As far as I know colloidal silver does not make it to and through the gut as silver chloride, but rather as colloidal silver which releases ionic silver upon contact with a pathogen. Silver chloride is the form of silver that can cause Argyria when taken in vary large amounts for very long times. It usually forms when contaminated with salts or with silver products that use animal gelatin to artificially suspend ionic silver and mislabel it as colloidal silver. Ionic silver is usually destroyed by stomach acids. Utopia Silver recommends supplementing with probiotic when taking silver in large amounts - and large amounts are what are necessary for really tough and systemic conditions (MRSA, Crohn's, Candida, Lymes, etc.) oleander soup , "Bob Banever" <bbanever wrote:>> and Jill,> > Actually colloidal silver does not kill beneficial bacteria in the > gut.
