I am uncomfortable giving recommendations for the very young, other than to say if it were mine I would not hesitate to try oleander.

Some of the patented medicine version of oleander's earliest uses and successes were reportedly against leukemia.

Thanks Tony I feel the same way. The Mom has full faith in Drs at this point. Baby is in the hospital. I am just trying to get as much info together as I can to approach her here soon.
