Guest guest
Kelly,Okay, it does look like Scarlet Fever. And I do understand your apprehension. What is her temperature like? Any improvement? Swallowing? How is she eating? I'm sure you are doing this, but give her soups, soft foods, lots of liquids. No sodas. My thoughts are with you. Please keep me posted...... And lots of colloidal silver. If you feel that you need to give her more, do so. Don't scrimp. She cannot overdose.Hugs, While
Guest guest
Kelly,Wait..... Something is not right. As far as I know, and I am very close to positive, strep always comes with a high fever, horrible sore throat, and one is very sick. Scarlet fever also comes with a high fever and lethargy. With what you describe I am now quite concerned. I would say take her to another doctor and get a second opinion. Immediately. While you do that, please ask them if she could possibly have Kawasaki's Disease. Just to rule this possibility out.How is she this afternoon? More importantly, now I am very interested in the rash. What is it doing? And how old did you say she was?I am bringing this up because my daughter had Kawasaki's Disease when she was seven years old and what you are telling me is ringing rather loud bells and I do hope I am wrong and just being over cautious. Please keep me posted.Hugs, oleander soup , "Kelly DiBacco" <mkasj wrote:>> , > > Thank you for your concern. She has never had a fever, sore throat or any feeling of being sick. When I saw the rash I started researching, decided to take her to the doc, and got a rapid strep which had positive results. She still feels fine. It's just that I have none of my kids have ever had strep. I have always been able to fight ear infections, sinuses, etc. naturally. It is a whole new game with strep. We are now on our way to have her adjusted with the chiropractor again.> > thanks again,> kelly
Guest guest
, After reading your email, first I panicked and then I went on my research journey. There is a percentage of the time when despite most of the common symptoms, strep throat can be deceptive. It's possible to have the disease and not show any of these symptoms. When I researched Kawasaki disease it seems that fever is a major factor. A rash appears on the palms of hands and soles of feet. Eyes usually look irritated like pink eye and lips will appear red. My daughters rash appeard first on her cheeks, then this morning it appeared on her upper chest. Tonight it is showing up on her lower back. To me, it does seem as if she has scarlett fever which appears at the end of a strep throat infection. Of course we never knew she even had strep until the rash appeared. Her eyes and lips look fine. Also, just a refresher, that her rapid strep test was positive shich shows that if she does have somthing else going on - that she still has strep along with it. Truly my big worry is whether or not I should go ahead and do the antibiotics. I do not want to wrestle with rheumatic fever. But the reason I have shied away from traditional treatment is the fact that she is also fighting yeast on her legs where she wears her shin guards for soccer. She is 11 years old, not complaining of anything except not liking how she looks with the rash, and continues to want to go about her days as usual. What are your thoughts? Guest guest
Kelly, In all due respect it is impossible for anyone to diagnose a condition over the internet. I would advise strongly you take your daughter to see a doctor whom you trust. This isn't the normal strep infection... something else is going on and you need to get it diagnosed PRONTO. Guest guest
Hi Kelly,I'm glad you did your research. I am a bit more relieved. It may have been a longshot, but thought I would mention it. However, I didn't mean to make you panic. Just being cautious. Also, with Kawasaki's Disease, a swollen tongue and inflammed joints accompanies everything else. My daughter didn't have the classic rash symptoms of Kawasaki's Disease. Hers started in the face also and worked down and as it worked down hit the palms of her hands and feet. All she ever ran was a low grade fever and was very ill (for months and months). She at first was diagnosed with scarlet fever and it wasn't until she woke up one morning and couldn't walk that I knew something was very wrong and got a second opinion. This is a long involved story but the miracle of the whole thing is that it never affected her heart. And you cannot believe how thankful I am even to this day. I asked your daughter's age as I believe it only affects young children and the oldest case I ever read about was nine years old.As for putting her on antibiotics, how is she responding to the colloidal silver? At this point I will just tell you to do what you feel comfortable with, although I do understand your concern with regard to the yeast. Keep applying the colloidal silver topically. Actually, you can get colloidal silver soap bars at http://www.utopiasilver.com .If I understand correctly, the doctor is aware of the rash? With your concern, I would at least call him and tell him of the latest developments. And please keep me posted.Hugs, oleander soup , "Kelly DiBacco" <mkasj wrote:>> ,> > After reading your email, first I panicked and then I went on my research journey. Guest guest
, Before I heard from you, I did put a call into the doctor. She reassures me that the rash is normal and that only if it were hurting or very severe should I call her again. Neither of the 2 is the case with my daughter. We are continuing with colloidal silver and she seems to be fine. I will be receiving the utopiua tomorrow. Since the positive strep test on Monday, we have seen the chiropractor twice. Each time she was tested with applied kinesiology and she tests negative for strep. This could be due to the colloidal silver or from the adjustment itself since it does boost her immune system. We are continuing with oregano oil in the silver, olive leaf extract, goldenseal, and ester c. Truly you did not make me panic, your concern only made me aware to other possibilities which can be frightening but I welcome it. I do not want to treat my daughter with my head in the sand. What you and your daughter went through sounds very scary and I am very glad for you both that in the end she was well again. , thank you so much for all of you feedback. As I write this, I feel that we will continue as we are. I will monitor her closely and if something arises or my nerves cannot take it any longer I do have the prescription filled and in the refridgerator waiting just in case. I receive the emails from this forum daily and mostly just read and learn. I cannot express how comforting it is to be able to share our situation and have you genuinely share what you know or think with me. Thank You so Much. Guest guest
Bob, I certainly in NO WAY expect an internet diagnosis for my daughter. I am not sure if you have followed all my emails but ny daughter was taken to our doctor who we very much trust at the first sign of the rash on Monday. I am not sure what you mean by normal strep infection but I was there and saw her rapid which was positive. I have tirelessly researched strep and found that normal strep symptoms do not show in every case. In fact, strep can be positive with no symptoms at all! My daughter's only symptom is the rash and now a positive culture. Further research shows that scarlett fever is in fact a rash that shows typically at the end stage of a strep throat. It will last 1-3 weeks and is only treated in the same manner as the strep - antibiotics. I spoke with her doctor again this evening at 7 p.m. and again she has reassured me that the rash is normal - even the spreading of it. Guest guest
Hi Kelly,I am glad that you called the doctor and that she assured you the rash is normal. No sign of strep from the kinesiology? This might be attributable to the colloidal silver. It has gotten me through quite serious infections, pneumonia being one.I know you are keeping a careful eye on her, but if anything changes, don't hesitate to call the doctor again. And you are most welcome Kelly. We are here to help and point the way to healing, and in certain circumstances I share my own experiences in case it may help someone. But we are not physicians and sometimes a physician's diagnosis is necessary. But you have done that.Still...... Keep me posted as to your daughter's progress and ask any questions you deem necessary.Hugs, oleander soup , "Kelly DiBacco" <mkasj wrote:>> ,> > Before I heard from you, I did put a call into the doctor. Guest guest
Dear Kelly, I have been reading your situation with your daughter and am very impressed in the way you have handled it. It would be so wonderful if all parents reacted as you. Conventional medicine is not always the answer as we all know. Your daughter is quite lucky, hope she knows it.
