Guest guest
Any infection can be handled with the "Dynamic Duo" = Total Tonic and Echinacea tincture. See the files for details on these two. love Lisa - Carrie Johnson herbal remedies Wednesday, August 17, 2005 8:41 PM Herbal Remedies - Strep Throat My roommate went to the doctor just recently with a horribly swollen throat. She can't even comfortably swollow her own saliva. She is now on antibiotics, but so far they haven't helped much. Any suggests for her?I'm also starting to feel like my throat is tight, but I'm not sure if its in my head or not. Any immune system boosters I should start pushing that would deter this?ThanksCarrie
Guest guest
I did wonders for my developing strep throat by doing the following: I got the refridgerated kind of Bee's Royal Jelly from my local health food store (2 oz will run you upwards of $20 but it's worth it). I toasted some bread, (soy)-buttered it, then spread some royal jelly on it, and then spread a little honey over that to 1) hide the taste of the jelly and 2) to help soothe the throat. (You also want the butter to soften the bread. It took me an hour to eat it, as chewing and swallowing were excruciating, but it worked. So I did that, and I also took 1 Benadryl (I *HATE* taking any OTC or prescription meds of any kind, but this was back when I was still learning about herbs and things, and I just needed something to take the swelling down fast and knock me out at the same time so I could get some sleep. I imagine I could get the same results with vitamin C--an anti-inflammatory, and valerian root--a potent herbal sleep-aid WITHOUT the grogginess the next morning!) The next morning, I found my strep was 75% GONE...within 12 hours, most of which was spent sleeping soundly. No tossing and turning, no squirming in pain as I tried to swallow. I was even able to keep my dinner plans for that night! And then the day after that, it was 100% gone and I had ALL my energy back and I didn't even have to go to some " whitecoat " (MD-quack-person) and get a shot in the butt, either! Just my ramblings Blessings, --Jeni-Laura aka Jyoti herbal remedies , Carrie Johnson <carriejohnson@m...> wrote: > My roommate went to the doctor just recently with a horribly swollen > throat. Guest guest
I find that elderberry extract in tincture/ hot tea form helps soothe strep throat. Jackie "candlelite320" <candlelite320herbal remedies To: herbal remedies Subject: Herbal Remedies - Strep ThroatTue, 23 May 2006 07:44:57 -0000I have never seen the herb blue vervain to fail to kill strep and relieve the symptoms in less than a day. No matter what infection, I wouldn't be without it. It has a fairly bad taste to me, but my daughter absolutely loves the taste of it as soon as she gets strep. Otherwise, she doesn't like it. I have always been taught that when something that normally tastes bad tastes good to you, you need it at that point for whatever is bothering you. Seems to work this way for her. I always get her diagnosed by the doctor, take the prescription from him for the antibiotics, then throw out the prescription when I get home. At that point, I usually know what it is anyway and she's been on the blue vervain already. Doctors are good for diagnosing :)AnnieFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Guest guest
I am looking for advice. My daughter has pretty bad yeast on her legs where she wears her shin pads for soccer. It was brought on by lots of halloween candy that she was sneaking while at her play rehearsals. (needless to say - that is now thrown out). We just came back from the doctor and found that she has an ear infection and strep throat. We will be seeing the chiropractor in the a.m. and have added probiotics and goldenseal with echineacea. I would like to know if I dare to try to treat the strep naturally and with what? If I give her the antibiotics, her yeast will love it. Any suggestions would leave me very grateful. Thanks You, Kelly
Guest guest
, Thank you for the advice. Ihave been using a store bought colloidal silver for now. This morning I ordered from Utopia using the code. (thanks for the info). What is making me so nercous is the rash on her face. It was better after her chiropractic adjustment this afternoon, but has returned. I am looking forward to the Utopia arriving. Again, much thanks. Kelly - May oleander soup Monday, December 01, 2008 5:39 PM Re: strep throat Kelly, Colloidal silver will clear it all up. Utopia Silver had the best colloidal silver. Order the Advanced Colloidal silver and give her at least one ounce a day. Actually, you can give her more if you deem it necessary. You cannot overdose on colloidal silver and it has no side effects. You can also order the ionic silver and put that topically on her legs. Here is the link: http://www.utopiasilver.com. If you are a new customer, you get a free bottle for every 8 oz bottle that you order, but you need to call to get this offer. For further orders, just put in Code LR001 and you will get a 15% discount on all items not on sale. Hugs, --- In oleander soup , "Kelly DiBacco" <mkasj wrote:>> I am looking for advice.
