Guest guest
Mercola missed the boat a bit on this one (he does that some times, or perhaps I should say that the staff who writes in his name does - just as they did with colloidal silver). Simoncini never had the success he claimed even with IV sodium bicarbonate, and has been caught with bogus testimonials (for example - one was his mistress, another likely never had cancer) but he has sold a lot of books. He has also been convicted of manslaughter and fraud due to patients who died as a result of his treatments. As for Sircus, well he is a respected name in some circles the same as Andreas Moritz. Like Moritz, and maybe somehow he really has had the claimed success with all the patients who took baking soda, but I also note that everybody has a book for sale these days. I am not saying that baking soda cannot have benefit - but it is no miracle cure and anyone who would have you believe that maple syrup somehow shephards baking soda into cancer cells and across blood brain barriers has no understanding of how the human digestive system works. Baking soda is also good to clean corrosion off battery terminals - but you won't get the job done by pouring the baking soda into your gas tank. As I posted in another forum, I am almost hesitant to criticize some of these books, single cause theories and one-item "cures" that keep coming along because I have my own book and protocol and am very high on one particular immune booster and cancer fighter as you all know (oleander). However, as I repeatedly point out, there is no single magic bullet and beating cancer involves a lot more than just taking a single supplement such as baking soda, quercitin, turmeric, iodine, blood root, flavenoids, chaparral, essiac tea, flaxseed oil, vitamin C, laetrile and any number of other items that have been put forward as THE answer for cancer. There is no single answer. Period. Though oleander is the best single cancer fighter and immune booster I have found, I am quick to point out that it, like anything else, is best used in combination with other immune boosting and cancer fighting items - and that a foundation of cleansing and detoxing, a healthy active lifestyle, management and elimination of stress and emotional issues and especially a healthy diet are all important parts of a cancer fighting protocol that will insure the best chances of success. Thus, I find it particularly irksome when I see anyone offering any such single solution that people may grasp as a substitute for the comprehensive approach that will serve them bests. Even when successful, such solutions do little or nothing to address the underlying causes of cancer and keep it from returning. Similarly I find it hard to keep silent when these repeated "breakthroughs" are announced and someone claims to have discovered something unique that applies universally to all cancers and cancer causes. It's a good way to sell books and products, but, imho, it is also a good way to sell false hope and prevent people from getting the help and advice that might best benefit them.Tony
