Getting past the taste of oleander extract

Thanks Pam -

I am always glad to see you add your words of experience and advice

for the benefit of our newer members. As you know, there are many,

many success stories over the years about oleander and precious few

failures (none that I know of who actually started in time, stayed

with the program and had not had too much prior chemo to overcome).

You are right - oleander extract does NOT taste like a chocolate malt.

Have you ever tried the way I suggest and how I have taken it? Which

is to put half a dose in a small cup of juice (grape juice and

pomegranate are my favorites) and the other half under your tongue

where there are no taste buds and where you get the sublinqual benefit

of faster and better absorption. After a couple of minutes of holding

it under your tongue, take a sip of the juice in the cup to swallow

down what has been under your tongue (the taste will only be halfway

unpleasant that way) and then drink the rest of the juic mix in the

cup at leaisure (it will actually taste pretty good).

Another thought - while I love your idea of using the capsules, I am

thinking that for only $45 a bottle including shipping the OPC

supplement is a pretty good option that saves time, insures consistent

quality in the product and gets around the taste issue too.

Of course I also understand the wholistic synergy and satisfaction of

making your own remedies too.

Hugs,

> Hey Tony,I read everything.....skip through a lot......I started

taking home made oleander soup 5 yrs ago....was also told 5 yrs ago

that if I didnt let the medical establishment cut off, burn, nuke and

poison myself,I would be dead in 5 yrs....guess what ...I'm still

here.! I took the oleander religeously for 2 yrs.....then the taste

started getting to me and the very thought of it would make me

retch.....I do other supps as well....I discontinued oleander....which

I now feel guilty about....about mid 08 my cancer markers were rising

in a blood test and after extensive testing I was informed that I have

small hotspots in some ribs and hip and lymph nodes in chest

..........but no organ mets.....back to the drawing board.....Now I

have purchased clear capsules to fill with oleander so I dont taste !!

I didnt realise that before duhhh! although it takes 10 to fill

with 1 tablespoon.......Incidentally the surgeons said to

me....whatever youre doing keep it up and how well I look etc....I

have talked to my personal surgeon about oleander....In the beginning

she was very superior but now she's a lot more open....This is a top

oncology surgeon at an important oncology Hos in NZ.So minds are

opening here and there.Quite frankly any remedy that can be made at

home and costs little to make is worth a go in my

book.Cheers......arohanui....Pam NZ
