Mesosilver is made from silver particles that carry no charge. Ions are positively charged silver particles (very small nanoparticles) that get attracted to negatively charged microbes. It is true that silver particles become ions in the body, but IMO not to the extent that you need. In my own experience, I used Mesosilver to try and rid myself of a sinus infection to no avail. The next time I got the infection (it was chronic) I used ionic silver that I made myself. It cleared the infection in a day and a half. I no longer get it at all thanks to using ionic silver as a nasal wash two or three times a week for about 6 months. Put it in my waterpik and added a nasal irrigation attachment. The reason that the Home Brewed is rated so low in the evaluation is because only the silver particle portion of the Home Brewed ionic silver was considered in the evaluation. In actuality, silver ions, which make up roughly 80 - 95 percent of the brew, are individual atoms and would provide the highest particle surface area of all.
