Guest guest
L-selenomethonine is not neccessarily bad - it depends on the source. Methylselenocysteine does appear to be the best form, but that does not mean that L-selenomethonine from a reputable source is not good. To me, it is just more likely that the L-selenomethonine used in the halted SELECT trial was an inferior by-product of some kind of industrial mining and perhaps even adulterated from the ores and mining process (I shudder to think of taking selenium that came from lead mining!). Since a vastly inferior synthetic petroleum derivative was chosen for the Vitamin-E in the study, I am also highly suspect about what kind of crude and possibly adulterated source of L-selenomethonine they utilized. Given the source of your selenium product, my advice is to keep taking what you have and then later replace it with the Methylselenocysteine. oleander soup , " Nelly C.
