There are filters to take out chloride--but flouride is more difficult---if you look on the net you can find different types of filters that will do the whole household but they are pricey. I'm not an expert in this area perhaps someone knows some good ones? Oh we don't think of ourselves as fanatical Christians but we can only give thanks to God for how he has given us children, and provided for them over the years. We didn't know at first how we did it. !! Well, one kid , that's not much right? Well it nearly drove me nuts! ... When our second child was born, she was wonderful and such fun for her older brother ... The 3rd came, and she was a blessing too!..... I had made plans when I was younger to stop having kids at about 25 and go back to college, and have some sort of degree by 30. Well , I haven't been back to college much, have no degree and have lots more kids! See, we couldn't even think of who we would be saying NO to!... Who was it we would have rejected in keeping with our tidy plans? ... So the decision to prevent more kids was halted. We weren't actively trying to have kids and didn't actively try to prevent. So they came one by one! ... Yes I lost my sanity with the 6th one and found out it just got in my way after all.... Life's so much less restricted on the other side! These were valuable lessons for our family and I see now that God was in all the details.... I am exausted ,Totally spent... I don't know if we will have more children ! But at this point I don't have to worry about empty nest syndrome! Sleep comes easily ! I don't feel like I have wasted my life in any way. There's so many lessons I have learned that I doubt that I could have learned in any other setting.... Thanks for asking, this was therapy! Have an awesome weekend!... I think we spend less now than when we had 1 child per week!.. God has ways of molding us into very efficient, non wasteful people if we allow Him. Necessity is the mother of invention and God is the inspiration. We eat very basic foods for health and cost. Housing is an interesting issue. We had a bigger house with 6 kids than we do now with 11. A big house is a big expense and a big upkeep. We have plenty of room with our house of 1000 square feet and a full finished basement. We only have 5 at home now so the space is growing as we speak. Lol. Our lives are not centered like most. We do not vacation. We don't have cable TV or other typical entertainment with the exception of a few older video game systems with acceptable games. We enjoy the Internet , and each other's company. We don't need to get away ! Seems like people want to be here! Money is always tight due to our Michigan economy but we are very blessed anyway. Thanks for asking.. And spend most of our time playing together…. We home school too, so lots of time to hang out with the kids and develop lovely lasting relationships…. I totally agree on housing (and everything else!), as long as you have a nice bed and one comfy chair…. Your ahead… we spend a lot of time out in the garden or on outings to visit friends….
