BTW my favourite is "Monika" Pure Creamed Coconut (Made in Sri Lanka) 78% fat - its so sweet - I make a gojiberry slice with it and it is so delish! I buy it in the Chinese grocer - $1.29 per 200g block - yummy! Quite difficult to melt it without scorching it.

Jane you may have guessed that I use coconut milk/cream and oil regularly....... it is so yummie and healthy..... Guess I kinda over did it with my replies, BUT................ (grin)

Jane I learned yonks ago that coconut oil has a lower than usual 'flash' 'fry' point............ but it is wonderful to cook with and you use so much less............

 

I will have to look for the MONIKA brand down here.

We used to get it in Safeway and then I refound it in the lovely HUGE Chinese grocer I go to - if you can't find it I can send you some for Christmas!!
