Some chocolate is now being produced without sugar - I went to a lecture

Monday night where the chocolate was sweetened with walnuts and it was sweet

enough - gojiberries are available in Chinese grocers here - dried

wolfberries they are the same as gojiberries I assure you - about AU$5.00

per pound

I'm kind of confused here, I looked up those sites and I'm not sure what it is you want us to see--nothing there about Goji, as far as cancer and the Goji berry here are some people who have been succesful with using the juice of the berry; http://www.gojihealthstories.com/storiescancer.htm

there have been 89 private studies shown at www.pubmed.gov just type in LYCIUM BARBARUM (which is Latin for the goji berry) in the search menu. If you need more about the Goji berry you can message me here or my email at homesick44 or even call me at 920-470-7885

Hi John,

No, I’m saying that

Goji berries are meant to be the wonder cure, so why would anyone mix them with

chocolate, which has large amounts of sugar in it, and so hinders any

beneficial effects of the goji….

I get goji berries in

the sack load from my local organic fruit and veg shop…. In Adelaide, Australia…..

but they are grown in the Himalayas so you

must be able to get them where you are too…. Just look around for them in

health food places…..

Both my kids love

them, which surprised me as they have a kind of bitter taste to them….

There is, as yet, no evidence that Goji berries have the miraculous healing powers claimed for them, by some companies. But, what bothers me, is how high the price for these berries, and for their juice, has become. I seriously doubt, when all the testing is in, that the Goji berry will reveal any more healing powers than science has shown with most other berries. But, so what? If you like the way they taste, eat them and drink their juice. What makes this an issue, is not the health-giving properties the Goji berries may or may not have, it's the absurdly high price paid for them; a price, which is justified, in most people's minds, in large part, by the absurd and false claims made for them.

What I'd like to see, is if Goji berries could continue to extract the same money out of people, if they were told the unvarnished truth, which is that, at this time, there's no evidence that Goji berries have unusual healing powers.

Hi everyone, for those who are looking for the goji berries should be aware of the fact that With over 80 varieties of Goji grown on the planet, there is only ONE variety that has the potent antioxidant power, Dr Oz spoke about. (Dried goji berries lose almost all their power in the drying process, even if you have the right variety.) The only FRESH--guaranteed & standardized source is Himalayan Goji Juice from FreeLife International Freelife acually rejects more berries than what they can use and those are usually the ones that are left for open market. not all Goji berries have the 4 main polysaccharide's.

please look at the info at this site. http://www.gojiteamnews.com/gojimedia/NHT_Ebook.pdf

I strongly suggest if you believe what this guy is spamming about, you

do yourself a favor and look up " wolfberry " in wikipedia. You will find

that because of the terrain and soil it is almost impossible to

get 'Himilayan goji berries'. The fact is that goji berries are grown

in a fertile plain in China near the yellow river. These are the

berries which are exported for consumption. These Freelife kooks with

their fraudulant claims should be thrown in jail!

I sell goji powder on ebay for one reason only. To make available 100%

goji powder which you can use to mix your own antioxidant packed super

goji juice. I only started selling the powder because of the frauds

from Freelife. Goji DOES NOT cure cancer, like they claim. And the

juice they sell you is processed hogwash.

Do yourself a favor and get educated about the truth, not some baloney

some MLM salespeople throw at you.

Hi Ole,

They are organic and

dried…. You can soak them if you want, but I prefer them dried…

also, they are better preserved dried for the long journey… I wouldn’t

want them fresh and that would mean all sorts of other things…..  as it

is, I’m not sure that the importation doesn’t require some sort of chemical

sprays for bugs….

I can tell you how to get 2.2 lbs of Goji berry I every bottle from Goji berries that have all four of the main Polysaccharides which are what gives the right berry the power to do the job for about $36.00 a bottle delivered to your house.

With over 80 varieties of Goji grown on the planet, there is only ONE variety that has the potent antioxidant power, (Dried goji berries lose almost all their power in the drying process, even if you have the right variety. Please do some homework and read about it before you buy just any berry and don't get the results your looking for. I have plenty more info if you email me at homesick44 but please take time to look at this site. http://www.gojiteamnews.com/gojimedia/NHT_Ebook.pdf

The American companies have been vaccinating poison into Chinese people, and the Chinese people have been selling poisoned goods to USA, SOundS like good ol fashioned warfare! Poison the water, poison the food! Poison everything!.... I suspect anything from China as well as the USA. Goji comes from China?

Hi Ole,

To be honest, I don’t

really know, as for one thing, I’m relatively healthy and the other

thing, I don’t know what the claimed benefits are!  I just bought them

out of curiosity and they tasted good and the kids like them too.  I really don’t

go for anything as a cure all, I think that health is something that is found

by eating fresh seasonal wholefoods and your body needs different things at

different times….  I was eating pancakes everyday for a while…. Perhaps

low on b12 or something… but then I started feeling groggy with it and

the weather turned to hot, so I started back on raw salads and fresh fruit.  As

far as the goji goes, I’m sure it’s a great supplement to have to

your diet, but it shouldn’t ‘be’ your diet.  Also you might

find that there is a locally grown food or combination of local foods that is

just as good as the goji, as for one you can get them fresh when buying locally.

I suppose it depends on the level of dis-ease in your body.  If you are very

sick, I would recommend going to some one professional and experienced –

a health retreat of some sort… although if you are just wanting to

maintain good health, use the goji as a dietary supplement when you feel like

it and make sure you get a variety of fresh organic wholefoods.

Hi again, first I want to thank you for keeping Himalayan Goji juice in the spotlight, but if you are going to make statements like ( fraudulent claims) well then you really should have some sort of proof from some type of authority to go back on, so far all I see is jelousy statements with no type of proof of any kind.

I personally made no claims of curing any thing , I people who have used it said they did well I have no control over how it has helped them, they have said it themselves in private sites like www.gojihealthstories.com which is not in any way connected to Freelife. If I were you I would be glad a site like that one exists so you too can direct people to it since I haven't seen any site where people have said the same for Goji powder and if there is one then you should be telling people to go there for referance.

Your statement about the true Goji berry not being possible to get couldn't be farther from the truth either, Its time for YOU to do YOUR homrwork now, it took Dr. Earl Mindell 8 yrs to find a way to make it available to the rest of us without harming the Polysaccharides like the drying proccess or pasteurizing does.

Here is your homework assignment for your next post, Type in Dr. Earl mindell in any search engine you like, , google, amazon.com or any of your favorites, I just did in and there were over 97'000 entries on dr. mindell since he is the worlds leading nutritionalist and does over 350 tv interviews a year. Now where was it you say you got your proof again? Or didn't you have any.

Alice,

You have given Ole very good advice. As a goji powder salesman I take

pride in being honest. It is worth more than the money I could make

lying. As good as goji berries and berry powder is, it is also

somewhat overpriced. After studying various herbs and fruits to aid

my own personal medical problems, I found that there are other fruits

such as blueberry which contain some of the same properties as goji -

at a fraction of the cost. The key is to not heat the berries of any

fruit before consumption. It can destroy the vitamin C content and

inhibit many of the other beneficial vitamins. With the Internet it

is now possible to find free info on just about anything. It is well

worth the time to educate yourself.

Here is a little honest info on the properties of goji berries:

Goji is an extremely rich source of Vitamin C, having 500 times more

Vitamin C per ounce than oranges. They are also a great source of

vitamin A, which is no surprise because if you had ever seen the

fresh berries they are a pretty red color. Goji also has Vitamins B1,

B2, B6, and E, which are becoming famous as antioxidants.

Goji is also a rich source of Selenium and Germanium and has been

used in a number of clinical trials involving cancer patients. When

given to patients undergoing chemotherapy, the the natural

ingredients in Goji offered significant protection for the liver.

In Chinese herbal medicine, they are said to correct chi deficiency,

meaning that people with low energy, insomnia, heart palpitations,

and even anxiety are more comfortable after consuming Goji. The

Chinese have used goji for it's medicinal properties for over 3000

years.

Goji has 18 amino acids (higher than bee pollen) and 21 trace

minerals, linoleic acid, and more beta carotene than carrots.

Goji has a large content of natural polysaccharides. Some of the

benefits of polysaccharides are; inhibited tumor growth, cancer

prevention, neutralization of the side effects of chemotherapy and

radiation, aid in normalizing blood pressure, assist in balancing

blood sugar, fight autoimmune diseases, anti inflammatory properties,

increased calcium absorption, lowering of cholesterol, and balancing

immune system functions. That's quite a list isn't it? Fortunately,

there are many scientific studies that support these claims.

Other benefits of Goji are still being examined in scientific studies.

Enhanced Immune Response

Anti-fatigue Effects

Weight Loss

Free Radical Prevention

Thanks Alice,

I share your opinions. I'm also i good health, never taken medicin in my whole life (started 1946). I never see a medical doctor. Have taken homeopatics once. It worked very well.

Yes, fresh fruit, best directly from the bush, is important. Lots of it. So I think I'l grow some goji-bushes in the garden, here in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Hi Ole,

To be honest, I don’t really know, as for one thing, I’m relatively healthy and the other thing, I don’t know what the claimed benefits are! I just bought them out of curiosity and they tasted good and the kids like them too. I really don’t go for anything as a cure all, I think that health is something that is found by eating fresh seasonal wholefoods and your body needs different things at different times…. I was eating pancakes everyday for a while…. Perhaps low on b12 or something… but then I started feeling groggy with it and the weather turned to hot, so I started back on raw salads and fresh fruit. As far as the goji goes, I’m sure it’s a great supplement to have to your diet, but it shouldn’t ‘be’ your diet. Also you might find that there is a locally grown food or combination of local foods that is just as good as the goji, as for one you can get them fresh when buying locally. I suppose it depends on the level of dis-ease in your body. If you are very sick, I would recommend going to some one professional and experienced – a health retreat of some sort… although if you are just wanting to maintain good health, use the goji as a dietary supplement when you feel like it and make sure you get a variety of fresh organic wholefoods.

Hi,

Well I had a look at

the shop and the dried goji berries that I get from my local organic shop were

$50 per kg, they are also selling Maca powder and raw high quality cocao –

this is all about ‘fashion’ and not much to do with must have health

foods.

The goji berries were

named ‘Tibetan’ which we all know is now a pseudonym for southern China.

Fresh berries are

always better than dried or processed or powdered.

Like M. has said,

blueberries are excellent also, and in combination with other foods such as

fresh organic carrots and many other fresh organic fruits you can get the same

effect of the goji berries, especially if you can only get them dried,

processed or powdered.

There are lots of

other berries and fruits that have extremely high levels of vit c and other

anti-oxidants. In Australia

recently they have discovered that a native berry although very small in size

has huge amounts more vit c than oranges.

If you have a more

server condition, it is worth getting experienced advice on how to go about an

alternative diet based treatment.

Cleansing and variety

are the keys….. I usually eat fruit for a few days at a time to give my

body a clean out then a change to something else, to provide necessary

variety. Spring and summer is a great time to go on peach, cherry and apricot ‘fast’

of sorts…. And late summer a good time to get onto some raw food salads…

whilst winter is a good time to eat lots of warming wholesome veg and pulse

soups with lots of coriander, turmeric and other beneficial herbs and spices.

Hi Ole,

Sounds like a fantastic

idea…. Get yourself a worm farm too, so you can provide them with first

class fertilizer too, as well as recycle all your compost.
