Guest guest
Help anyone, I did a good deed last Sunday my best friend had a fall and ask if I would come stay the night with her so I did. Well I slept on the couch and well I feel asleep before I was really any help. Her couch has the pillow top arms and that is where I layed my head and feel asleep the next morning I woke up with the worst pain ever in my neck and back area on the left side. As the day went by thia got worse so I went to ER and they told me it was a pulled muscle sent me home with meds well all the meds did was put me to sleep the pain was still there. So I went to my family Dr and she said the same and gave me more flexaril and some Mobic which I later realized I was not to have that since I have a heart condition so now they gave me celebrex. None of these things help and I am the worst pain ever can someone help please if you have any suggestions they would be appreiciated, Oh and I have tried a heating pad it soothes it awhile not long and ice also. even sat in the hot tub... Thanks to anyones advice in advance. Lissa

Shouldn't have to repeat the treatment, unless if it happens again. You could also do some EFT, see the link bellow. all the best, Claudiahttp://www.emofree.com/a/?2613/

Guest guest
Lissa, You are so sweet to help out a friend! My suggestion is to get a strand of magnet beads and wear them around your neck. The bigger/stronger the magnet, the more the relief! >

Guest guest
Lissa, If you can find a good chriopractor or better yet an oesteopath who does osteopathic manipulation, I'm sure they will help you. I prefer o.m. because imho I feel it is more gentle, comprehensive and requires fewer visits. Altho, it can be more difficult to find a qualified practitioner of o.m than a very good chiropractor. But with your heart condition, do try and find some assistance. Even a qualified masseuse who deals with injuries could help, but your best bet is with the first two. I know what you're going through. I have chronic back problems from a work injury. About O.M.. My wife suffered from lifelong migraines that were painful and caused temprorary blindness from the large light spots that would grow before her eyes during the migraines. She had all sorts of neurologic tests and was on meds for years. To make a long stroy short, we found an oesteopath who was quite good at o.m and in the first session he identified a spot on my wife's head where she was injured in a car accident as a child and felt that tobe the cause of the problem. In just two sessions she experienced signficant relief and her migraines went from weekly to one time in a year and hardly any in the 7 years since then. Good luck, Keith Lissa <lissafroggynurse wrote: feel asleep the next morning I woke up with the worst pain ever in my neck and back area on the left side. Guest guest
Sounds like an acute spasmodic torticollis. Chiropractic adjustments and a little ultrasound work wonders for that. jp Lissa <lissafroggynurse wrote: feel asleep the next morning I woke up with the worst pain ever in my neck and back area on the left side. Guest guest
I had the exact thing happen to me, sore neck and back and shoulder area on the left side. The pain was so intense I couldn't raise my head , I had to roll out of bed!... The pain got worse for 2 days and started to subside but still feel a pinching sort of during the night. It hurts worse when I lay down! I have been to the chiropractor and the adjustments help but it doesn't seem like it helps enough! This is day 10 and still healing so I figured it was a soft tissue injury and as the swelling goes down so does the pain and now I can finally look up , and do the little things I take for granted... I burned my arm pretty bad reaching over a hot pot on the stove to pick something up that had fallen. It had affected my mobility. I surely learned that I take a lot for granted... Thank God it's getting better.. Sincerely Barb M. ---- jhprice 11/5/2007 10:07:59 AM Re: Pinched nerve /sore muscle Sounds like an acute spasmodic torticollis. Guest guest
Usually two, three, or four adjustments will resolve the problem. There should be 50% improvement after the first treatment. At least that is the results we get at our office. jp I had the exact thing happen to me, sore neck and back and shoulder area on the left side.
