Case-control studies indicate that Vitamin C decreases the risk of precancerous sores in the mouth and of oral cancer. In this study, 42,340 men in the Health Professionals Follow-up Study shows that dietary intake of Vitamin C cut the risk of oral cancer by almost 50%.
