Guest guest
Hi All, I am in need of some advice from any of you that are way into health. Im 36 yrs old. 3 kids, homebirth, tandum nurse, eat good(not great)For some time now about once a month I get a migraine, sinus trouble and knots in the back of my neck. I always just chalked it up to stress. And thought that maybe it could be ovulation.(it usually lasts 2-3 days)well this month I have those symptoms except for now it feels like my heart is pounding. I checked my vitals and they all seem fine.It has been like this for 3 days now.I thought panic attacks but, I dont feel panicked. And wouldnt my pulse be higher? I might be taking on too much 3 kids and watching our business in the mornings(with the kids) I went to the chiro today.(cheapest thing to do) and if it doesnt get better I will try the acupuncturist. I am for the most part against modern med.and really dont think they would help. Do any of you have any experience with this? Would love any input. Thanks in Advance!!! Guest guest
The herb of choice on migraines is feverfew. Its a bitter herb so unless accustomed to bitterness you can pick it up conveniently encapsulated at health food store. And you can probably get it included in a formula with other nutrients in it that are good for that. Another herb I am thinking about is kudzu, which grows in its absolutely perfect environment in the south, Georgia. But, a lot of my reading, including some research, says that it is great for migraine, neck stiffness, but also used to treat alcohol addiction and smoking. Since they are trying to eradicate in the south (called mile a minute vine or something like that) it should be relatively cheap, but make sure if you get leaves they are not treated with herbicide, most of which are useless in killing it. And it sounds like you would not want oven dried leaves, but just air dried. You can make a tea, add some honey, or perhaps some stevia, and drink it, or you can eat it, or take it encapsulated. There is an extract as well. But traditionally eaten, or in tea form. - tkitoff2000 Monday, August 13, 2007 6:18 PM ANY INPUT WOULD HELP!! Guest guest
Have you tried giving up all products with caffeine? Some people are affected that way by caffeine...even caffenated teas. Also massage might help and the masseuse can teach you self-massage. You may also be allergic to something you are eating regularly...you can try fasting for a few days and then bringing back items into your diet and see if th ere is any difference. Guest guest
Hi Cristine, I was having several of the symptoms that you have named and all of them were done away with when I started using Natural Calm Magnesium. Do a search on magnesium depletion and you will be surprised. Hope this has helped. BTW, I am 60 and that is way too old to be ovulation. LOL!
