Pour in 1 cup of rice.Boil rapidly uncovered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.Drain in a strainer, rinse with hot water and serve. Absorption Method Measure 2 ½ cups water to 1 cup of rice. Place water and rice in a large saucepan and bring to the boil.When water is boiling, stir and reduce heat to low. Cover.Simmer for 10 minutes. Stir through with a fork and serve. Microwave Method Place 1 cup of rice in a deep microwave safe bowl.Add 2 cups of water. Cover with lid or plastic wrap.Cook on high for 15 minutes. Fluff rice with a fork and let stand for 5 minutes. Serve.
