Guest guest
Yes I understand that---and if we lived in nature that is definitely the route I would take---and do as much as I am able. I do find however that due to specific stresses because of our unnatural living---and no amount of care can weed out things like chemtrails--pollution--lack of nutrients in food--water contaminants, etc....soooo I'm finding myself doing a jig as best as i can with what I know about causes and effects of these unnatural situations---and find that they often need extra fortifications of some sort or other. So in effect that is the kind of information I'm looking for. Had we lived in a natural world---there probably wouldn't even be such a thing as the Health_and_healing forum....alas.... But thanks for info Beabluegreensolutions <bluegreensolutions wrote: There is an important concept, which is called the"interdependency factor". Guest guest
Also in regards to your message below---wehn I take any vitamins or supplements I do try to take them while eating foods that would have those components in them in order to take advantage of the synergistic effect.Bea Bernhausen <beabernhausen wrote: Yes I understand that---and if we lived in nature that is definitely the route I would take---and do as much as I am able. Guest guest
Yes, but how do you know the components are in the foods you're eating? Are you eating totally organic? Then *maybe* you would be getting them. A body was not meant to run on mega-doses of isolated and synthetic substances. A body needs *all* the nutrients in a balanced form. If you take vit. c, or calcium, or vit. e, or whatever else, you create an imbalance in your body. You need whole food. Guest guest
I guess you didnt read or pay attention to the first part of my post about unnatural substances throwing off the natural balances our bodies are used to functioning under.. All right lets take the instance of chemtrails. The barium in chemtrails gets to the bones first---displacing calcium magnesium potassium and other minerals we need for electrolyte balance, and thus to heart function (a big one for me), as well as other muscle and other bodily functions. I'm sorry but I cant eat enough kale during the day to be able to rebalance this lack so I take it in tablet form along with a small amount of kale or cabbage or whatever food I have that those supplements usually come from. I do try to eat as much organic as I can--and am doing the best I can in a world thrown into chaos by those who want to destroy it and us as well. If you are not able to give me any further information about my original question I am going to close this conversation as we just keep going over the same ground. Thanks for your interest Beabluegreensolutions <bluegreensolutions wrote: Yes, but how do you know the components are in the foods you'reeating? Are you eating totally organic? Guest guest
Of course I read your post, that's why I answered you. Sorry, but I stand by what I said - you can't take megadoses of artificial substances - your body doesn't even recognize that as food - you end up with expensive pee. If you want to supplement, then at least find a whole food supplement (the ingredients listed would be just one food, not a mixture of isolates) so you don't throw your body even more out of balance. But until people realize they are wasting their money on isolates/synthetics, they will always be there on the shelf for people to buy. Guest guest
I agree with Carol in principle that whole food is preferred, but predicting the body will be thrown out of balance by supplements is untrue, and years of exposure to this kind of post has never made me believe the claim. In fact we already know that many non- whole-food-supplements provide considerable benefit despite the nebulous " more benefit " perception carrot dangled by crafty MLM marketers. By way of example, undenatured whey ISOLATE is not a whole food but is probably the most important supplement you could take, and in this form it is vastly superior to its whole food alternative, milk, due to it's isolation and concentration. This example alone undermines the absolute nature of Carol's statement, and in all honesty, Carol should probably be wording her view as a simple personal preference. The real focus of authoritative advice should not be choose whole food over supplements because of some nebulous perception that whole food is categorically " better " as Carol suggests, but to choose whole food and supplements as appropriate that support your biology adequately. In some cases the whole food might win, and in others, the supplement.
