(AP) - The man known as the suicide doctor, Jack Kevorkian, has left prison after eight years -- still believing people have a right to die. Kevorkian claims to have participated in at least 130 assisted suicides, and routinely challenged authorities to make his actions legal throughout the 1990s. Today, a smiling Kevorkian walked out of prison to a white van that was waiting for him. He is expected to now move to an area just outside Detroit, where he will live with friends and resume the artistic and musical hobbies he missed while in prison. Kevorkian will be on parole for two years, and 1 of the conditions he must meet is that he can't help anyone else die. He says he'll abide by that. Copyright 2007 The Associated Press.
