Guest guest
Yesterday Mike Adams published a link to a very interesting interview he had with Dr. Holick, the author of the UVA Advantage on the necessity for Vitamin D, and the advantages of sunlight exposure. Dr. Holick has been involved in researching Vit. D for many years. I encourage you all to read this interview. Vitamin D is being found to be crucial for many health functions, and new research coming out is showing that it is actually preventative of cancer, diabetes and many other problems. The Health Industry has scared so many away from sunlight exposure that there is now a great deficiency in our bodies of this important vitamin. Sensible sunlight exposure is explained in this interview and can be followed without risk of cancers forming. The best way to form Vitamin D is through sunlight exposure to the skin, even though there are pharmaceutical drugs, and supplements available that can help....but much more may be needed depending on where you live, how hi the sun is, how long the winter is, and your skin pigmentation. Dr. Holick believes that most people need 1000 IU per day and not the 400 IU listed as the RDA and describes how to get it and how these deficiencies have come about, even in infants! With all the news about the FDA and Health Freedom, at least we can still count on the sunshine to help us increase Vit D levels. And its FREE.
