N) We Ignore Cho's Drug Use at Our Own Peril *PIC* http://www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/forum.cgi?read=103198 Posted By: ChristopherBollyn <Send E-Mail>Friday, 20 April 2007, 2:49 p.m. In Response URGENT - Anti-Depressants Are Behind the School Shootings (ChristopherBollyn) In my latest posting about the massacre at Virginia Tech, I wrote that the corporate-controlled media is actively censoring their news reports to delete the information about the suspected killer's use of anti-depressant medications: Link: http://www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/forum.cgi?noframes;read=103030 Knowing that the pharmaceutical industry is one of the largest consumers of mass media advertising and has one of the most powerful lobbies in Washington, it should come as no surprise that the drug companies receive special treatment in the corporate-controlled press. But at what price? Thirty-three dead students at Virginia Tech and silence about the drugs that made the killer go berserk? MEDIA DOES DAMAGE CONTROL FOR DRUG COMPANIES The controlled media is doing damage control to prevent the public from learning what psychoactive anti-depressant medication the berserk killer was on when he killed 32 students at Virginia Tech. If the American public were to be informed of the precise medication this killer was taking, it would cause alarm to the millions of people who are taking the same drug. The reports that mentioned Cho Seung-Hui taking anti-depressant medication are being edited to remove the idea that the drugs he was taking could have contributed to his murderous rampage. Cho's behavior fits the "Prozac killer" profile in every aspect. Cho killed because his mind was saturated with a psychoactive drug that affected his serotonin levels, hence his moods and behavior. Although he may not have been taking Prozac, he was most likely taking a similar SSRI anti-depressant that has the same effect. WHAT IF IT WAS CRACK COCAINE OR PCP? In an article entitled "Gunman was both methodical and angry" in the Los Angeles Times on April 17, 2007, the first paragraph read: BLACKSBURG, Va. -- It was 5:30 Monday morning and Karan Grewal was finishing a break after a long night of cramming for his classes at Virginia Tech. As he left the bathroom at Harper Hall, his dormitory mate, Cho Seung-Hui, wearing boxer shorts and a T-shirt, entered for his morning ritual of applying lotion, inserting his contact lenses and taking his medication. A few paragraphs later we read what he took medication for – depression: His only previous contact with the law was a recent speeding ticket for doing 74 mph in a 55-mph zone, federal sources said. But the officials said he once set fire to his dorm room and was taking medication for depression. This is an important clue to understanding the behavior of Cho, if indeed he is the killer. We need to know what drugs Cho was taking and his drug and medical history. This is fundamental but this information is being omitted and censored by the mainstream media. The authorities knew shortly after the massacre exactly what drugs Cho was taking, but this information is being kept from the public. Whose interest does that serve? There are many who are looking for a larger conspiracy in the Virginian Tech massacre, which there may well be, but I would argue that the nationwide addiction of mind-altering anti-depressant drugs is certainly big enough. The over-dosing of America on SSRI mind-altering drugs is a huge problem with plenty of conspiracy to boot. Millions of people take these dangerous SSRI anti-depressant drugs, like Prozac, Zoloft, and Luvox, on a daily basis. Imagine if Cho's dorm-mate Grewal had said: "I saw Cho Seung-Hui, wearing boxer shorts and a T-shirt, go through his morning ritual of applying lotion, inserting his contact lenses and smoke a half-dozen bowls of his usual mixture of PCP and crack cocaine." If Cho had taken such illegal drugs before he went on his killing spree, there would be no question as to what caused him to flip out and take the lives of 32 innocent people. But because he was taking a "legal" medication – there is absolutely no interest, rather there is a concerted effort to protect the identity of the drug he was on when he went berserk. As Dr. Ann Blake Tracy wrote in her 2001 book on Prozac: We will not even deal with the prescription drugs because these people withdrawing from these drugs become far too violent and aggressive for us to handle. They must be monitored closely 24 hours a day and often need to be restrained. We don't have the facilities or capability. I was shocked. I struggled to catch my breath without gasping out loud as the whole picture came together in my mind. The thought ran through my head: "What a 'con job' we have been given on the issue of illegal drugs vs. prescription drugs! "The Prozac-induced toxicity reported by the survivor groups closely resembles the brain disorders caused by amphetamines and related stimulants such as PCP and cocaine," Dr. Peter Breggin wrote in 1992. "Eventually psychiatry and medicine will have to recognize that Prozac produces organic mental syndromes (brain disorders) and that the mental effects are similar to those induced by amphetamine-like stimulants. Further delay in recognition of the Prozac stimulant effect will result in considerable harm to patients, their families and any victims of their violent or out-of-control behavior," Dr. Breggin continued. ANTI-DEPRESSANTS CREATE A REAL BERSERKER Patients taking SSRI medications often report suicidal and homicidal ideation, that is they become preoccupied with killing others and themselves. Suicidal ideation is actually listed as a side effect on most of these anti-depressant medications. Until the role that SSRI anti-depressants play in creating the "berserker mentality" with intense suicidal/homicidal ideation is exposed and understood by the general public, Americans will continue to witness such horrible events as what happened at Virginia Tech a few days ago. It is these dangerous mind-altering drugs which are ultimately the cause of the bizarre killings and school shootings that America is afflicted with today. Candle vigils and presidential speeches will accomplish nothing without an honest evaluation and understanding of the problems caused by the overdosing of American students with anti-depressants and other mind-altering medications.
