BEA & DAN--Is this candida stuff you're talking about the same thing as the "ugly nail syndrome," the nail fungus that makes your nails thick, crumbly and well, "ugly?"We have a friend who has that on every one of his fingernails........never seen him without his shoes, so i can't say what his toenails are like (and i don't really want to even imagine) :-0)I noticed his nails a few months ago, when he was handing me a cup of coffee, and each nail has a "hump" in the middle of his fingernails, like a very thick "ridge" So..........is that condition in the same category as the candida you're talking about? Also, is it contagious, can it be passed to anyone touching his hands or anything? Ever since i saw them, i stopped shaking his hand when I see him at church-type functions.........rude of me, probably, but, they ARE quite....... well, quite "ugly" :-0(He's very self conscious about it----he

always either keeps his hands in his coat or pants pockets, or, he'll have his hands behind his back or fingers curled to where you can't really see his fingernailsIf that condition is the same as this topic in the post below, i'll be sure to print off the links for him to check out......please let me knowthreefeathers3a.
