DuPont is a greedy outfit. Years ago China came out with a real cheap way to make Freon which was one of DuPont's products. DuPont couldn't have competed against it so they took it to Congress and had it banned as eating holes in the Ozone layer. Then they came out with a new more expensive product that would do the same thing. The ban stopped China but DuPont kept making Freon and peddled it to Mexico and overseas. If it did actually damage the ozone, DuPont could have cared less.
