Cho Seung-Hui - Another Anti-Depressant Drugged Killer http://www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/forum.cgi?read=102932

Posted By: ChristopherBollyn <Send E-Mail>Wednesday, 18 April 2007, 12:11 a.m. In Response URGENT - Anti-Depressants Are Behind the School Shootings (ChristopherBollyn)

As with the other school shootings in the United States, the shooting in Virginia appears to be linked with anti-depressant medications. This was the case in Columbine and the recent spate of school shootings in the fall of 2006. The horrible school shootings in the United States are not solely due to the fact that people have access to weapons. There are many countries where young people have more weapons: In Israel, for example, most young men have access to weapons, including machine guns, but they seldom shoot up their schools (although they have committed similar massacres of Palestinians, such a Baruch Goldstein in Hebron). In Switzerland, most men have access to military-grade weapons and often carry them around with them in their cars. Yet the Swiss never shoot up their schools. This is because these school shootings are not caused by guns but by deranged killers who are drugged on anti-depressant medications, which seriously alter their behavior and perception. The most obvious common thread behind all of these shootings is the fact that the killers were using, or had used, powerful mind-altering SSRI anti-depressant medications. http://www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/members/forum.cgi?read=92563 http://www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/members/forum.cgi?read=93813 Reports say Cho Seung-Hui, the 23-year-old shooter at Virginia Tech, took medication for depression. "News reports also said that he may have been taking medication for depression, that he was becoming increasingly violent and erratic..." From the Los Angeles Times:

It was 5:30 Monday morning and Karan Grewal was finishing a break after a long night of cramming for his classes at Virginia Tech. As he left the bathroom at Harper Hall, his dormitory mate, Cho Seung-Hui, wearing boxer shorts and a T-shirt, entered for his morning ritual of applying lotion, inserting his contact lenses and taking his medication.

Snip His only previous contact with the law was a recent speeding ticket for doing 74 mph in a 55-mph zone, federal sources said. But the officials said he once set fire to his dorm room and was taking medication for depression. By around 7:15 a.m. Monday, Cho had left his Harper Hall dorm for West Ambler Johnston dormitory. There he went to see Emily Hilscher, described as a friend by officials. Hilscher and the resident advisor, who came to investigate, were shot to death.
