Hi All It has recently come to my attention that you have to store the silver wire in the dark for making colloidal silver---I haven't been doing this---does this mean my silver is ruined? Is there any way to bring it back if so? Thanks Bea

Take a scratch pad and scratch the tarnish off of it. That should give you your silver again. Oxidation. I don't think that it is just sunlight.

I would say you can dip it in the cleaners that you clean your silverware with as well. But, I don't know that those cleaners come off of the silver, and, I'm sure that there is no sense in ingesting the cleaner.

Steel wool would probably take the tarnish off. I would imagine that that is the problem.

It is not necessary to store the silver wire in the dark but that is so for the Colloidal Silver finished product.

I have never cleaned my wires with and anything abrasive. I pinch a paper towel around it firmly and drag the wire through. It's worked for me for thirteen years. The silver wire will tarnish if left exposed to the air for a long unused period of time. If you do want to polish the silver, use toothpaste or bicarbonate of soda and then rinse well with distilled water..
