Guest guest
Honestly I don't wish to believe that salt increases the blood pressure. But the cardiologist said so. I had mild hypertension (essential type) and he asked me to reduce salt. I stopped it for a week and my blood pressure normalized perfectly. Since then I believe salt pushes up the blood pressure. But my current solution to the conflict between my wish and these facts is that I do take a bit---repeat, bit---of salt but add potassium chloride to balance it.
