Of all the things in the world, the Supreme Court (I certainly don't consider them to be very supreme--no more so than the old group The Supremes), rules against freedom speech, privacy, all sorts of intrusions by government into our private affairs, etc.etc. All of these are constitutional issues. And they make a ruling that co2 is a pollutant. So, now we find them dictating to congress that it should rule against something because the judges decided it should be ruled against--based on their private fears.

I agree that each of us, and each of us that find ourselves in the various corporations, should regulate ourselves in terms of consumption and co2. On the other hand, its not quite known which way the ball bounces. Research shows that co2 is a result of global warming (and everything else in our neck of the woods--galaxy wise--solar system) would appear to be warming. And research shows as well that co2 is associated with global warming and can enhance it.

So now the Supreme Wizards of Oz decide against it. Will they decide that we shouldn't eat meat either, as meat produces co2 (cows, etc.). Will they regulate fat intake, rather advise Congress that it should? My oh my, I am sure glad that the Supreme Court is watching out for my needs, they are such a good "mother". Well, guess mosts of them are "fathers". I should go and thank that they have raised me in such a good manner.

Gimme a break.

I'm in Pennsylvania. We are still spring here. Your blizzard, I think, is on forecasted to arrive here this week. We are supposed to be 78 degrees today, but a low of 28 tomorrow, after a high of just 54. Then the highs are in 30s for 5 days. All we need is for one of those days to be that far below freezing, and the early leafing of my peach tree will mean no peaches again.

Global warming=erratic weather patterns. I knew we were too warm too early. The warmth is nice though.Maybe the forecast will be wrong (quite often is) and will be a little moderated. They're saying snow here later this week.

cover your tree if the temps drop.

how big is your tree?

throw a plastic drop cloth like you buy for painting over the top of the tree and fasten it at the bottom with clothes pins...

if you have anything you can use for heat outdoors put it under the tree at night.

(bar b q grill maybe? propane heater like the kind used for camping?)
