Guest guest
I have been diagnoised with carpel tunnel syndrome and I was wondering what natural remedies I can use. I have been told (by the doctor - no doubt) that the best treatment is to go under the knife (operation) but I don't want to do that. I have heard that using sharks catliage was good and also DMSO. Anyone have any other natural remidies? Kenneth T
Guest guest
I have that too. It bothers me when I type a lot, and some other tasks. I keep mine at bay by using anti-inflammatories: a full spectrum pancreatic enzyme complex; vitamin c and b complex as well; and bromelain (1500 units 3 times a day when the wrists are aggravated). Its an inflammatory disease, so, you've elevated the conditions that cause inflammation through diet, or something wore out. Another thing I do is specific exercise. The thing when it hurts is justs certain motions, although your hand can freeze up. I had my left hand freeze up. That was scary (I was doing data entry at the time). One of the more fun things to do is to get two metal balls, about 1.5 inch thick, and roll them around in the hand and make your fingers and wrist operate. I have a couple made in China for the specific purpose. They have a spring loaded mechanism inside that when its balance changes it vibrates a little. I don't remember what they are called though. Another thing that helps is to squeeze a sponge ball, like the kind of toy you used to play with when you were a kid, about the size of a baseball. And, although unbelievable, doing curls with a barbell helps. Enough weight that you have to squeeze the bar with everything you have to do the curl. It helps the wrist. Hope that that helps. Guest guest
In the inside (palm side) of your wrist is a band going across just next to where the wrist bends. Your tendons go under this band and allow muscles in your arm to bend your hand and fingers -- like pulling strings to give a puppet action by remote control. Where the tendons go under this wrist band, sometimes grud builds up. This crud is what hurts you so much as the choked off tendons pull through. A surgeon will cut the band and scrape it clean, then sew it back together. This is a temporary repair that takes a long time to heal. The problem often reoccurs, and you go through the cut and scrape all over again. A good naturopath, or chiropractor can press the band and squeeze the crud out without surgery. I have pressed that band for myself and cleared the crud out myself. A good diet will prevent the crud from building up or rebuilding up in the first place. Of course, if you do that, how will the poor surgeon make a living? Guest guest
Have someone stand in front of you and place their two hands on your forearm, your forearm is outstretched with your palm facing down, they put their thumbs on top of your arm and their fingers underneath your arm, they then pull the two bones apart and apply pressure underneath - pushing up to ease the bones apart - it is just a slight adjustment. Firmly done this just releases the nerve which gets compressed over the years. You may need this done a few times as the area gets a little swollen being compressed. In addition, tension release of the neck and shoulders with deep massage helps with Vit B6 in large doses being also helpful. Guest guest
In addition to the exercises and Vit B6, both important!, I would suggest the intake of MSM = methyl sulfonyl methane. This will help reduce inflammation, and also a proven supplement to reduce pain. Start off with 1/4 teaspoon in a bit of water or juice (not bottled juice!!). I would suggest you add an equal amount of Vit C to this for better absorption. If you take a small amount of water, drink the mix (it's bitter ) then chase it with a good glass of water. Increase the dose slowly to 2 or 3 teaspoons a day. MSM is non toxic but it does have a cleansing effect. MSM has a mind of its own . The MSM decides where it goes first, and will nurture perhaps something else within your system than what you decided but don't give up on it. It will do its work regardless. Hope this is going to bring you the relief and healing you need. Guest guest
May I please add that pure MSM is one of the only substances that has a safety rating equivalent to water. While the doses suggested here may seem a bit high, you may be assured that they are safe. If you want guaranteed purity of MSM, the Opti-MSM brand is the best I know of.--- On Tue, 2/9/10, Hanneke <blosshan wrote: Hanneke <blosshanRe: Carpel Tunnel Date: Tuesday, February 9, 2010, 10:18 PM In addition to the exercises and Vit B6, both important!, I would suggest the intake of MSM = methyl sulfonyl methane. Guest guest
Thanks Jane, I just today started taking a medicine called methylprednisolone for inflammation in my right shoulder, of course I don't think the problem with my right shoulder has anything to do with the carpal tunnel of my left hand. It might help my right hand problems though. Vitamin B6? I will try that too............. Guest guest
More helpful information! Thank-you, Jan KM - Jan Slama Wednesday, February 10, 2010 02:41 Re:Carpel Tunnel I forgot to add that the reason to take B Complex, according to that nurse, is that if you take only 1 or 2 of the B’s, your body will be robbed of the others in order to utilize the ones you want. Therefore, taking a B Complex prevents that stripping of the B’s out of your system. Love and blessings, Jan
Guest guest
Dr. H. J. Roberts has written an article on aspartame and carpel tunnel syndrome, so first I would check what you are consuming and make sure you're not using NutraSweet. Aspartame hardens the synovial fluids and the toxic components and breakdown products makes it a chemical mess altogether. If you're not using NutraSweet then you might consider prolotherapy which is the cure for chronic pain. www.caringmedicine.com Regards, Betty At 09:42 PM 2/9/2010, KM Taylor wrote: > > >My carpal tunnel has resurfaced. >I have a brace that my ex-doctor gave me (well, >I paid for it) 3 years ago, and it does help >while I sleep but I am looking for a non >prescribed treatment to use for when I am awake. >I have used shark cartilage in the past (and it >seemed to work then) but I have been told that >it really doesn't do anything for the problem. >Right now the pain and tingles are not too bad >except that my middle finger feels numb, and so >it goes unless I hang my hand/arm down for a few seconds. >Anyone have any ideas??? >Thanks............. > > > >Kenneth T > > ><http://www.catb.org/hacker-emblem/> >hacker emblem > > ><plisca?subject=Carpel >Tunnel>Reply to sender | >< ?subject=Carpel >Tunnel>Reply to group ></message/57742;_ylc=X3oDMTM2cj\ hmb2dwBF9TAzk3MzU5NzE0BGdycElkAzY0NzQwMjIEZ3Jwc3BJZAMxNzA1MDYwODE0BG1zZ0lkAzU3Nz\ QyBHNlYwNmdHIEc2xrA3Z0cGMEc3RpbWUDMTI2NTc2OTg3MQR0cGNJZAM1Nzc0Mg-->Messages >in this topic (1) >Recent Activity: > * > </members;_ylc=X3oDMTJmZzdiOTVtB\ F9TAzk3MzU5NzE0BGdycElkAzY0NzQwMjIEZ3Jwc3BJZAMxNzA1MDYwODE0BHNlYwN2dGwEc2xrA3ZtY\ nJzBHN0aW1lAzEyNjU3Njk4NzE-?o=6>New > Members 19 > * > </links;_ylc=X3oDMTJnaTkwc3Z0BF9\ TAzk3MzU5NzE0BGdycElkAzY0NzQwMjIEZ3Jwc3BJZAMxNzA1MDYwODE0BHNlYwN2dGwEc2xrA3ZsaW5\ rcwRzdGltZQMxMjY1NzY5ODcx>New > Links 3 > * > </files;_ylc=X3oDMTJnZzA4azk2BF9\ TAzk3MzU5NzE0BGdycElkAzY0NzQwMjIEZ3Jwc3BJZAMxNzA1MDYwODE0BHNlYwN2dGwEc2xrA3ZmaWx\ lcwRzdGltZQMxMjY1NzY5ODcx>New > Files 1 ><;_ylc=X3oDMTJldDhmNnM1BF9TAzk3\ MzU5NzE0BGdycElkAzY0NzQwMjIEZ3Jwc3BJZAMxNzA1MDYwODE0BHNlYwN2dGwEc2xrA3ZnaHAEc3Rp\ bWUDMTI2NTc2OTg3MQ-->Visit >Your Group ></post;_ylc=X3oDMTJla2UybzVvBF9\ TAzk3MzU5NzE0BGdycElkAzY0NzQwMjIEZ3Jwc3BJZAMxNzA1MDYwODE0BHNlYwNmdHIEc2xrA250cGM\ Ec3RpbWUDMTI2NTc2OTg3MQ-->Start >a New Topic >«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤» > >§ - PULSE ON 21st CENTURY ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE! § > ><>/group\ / >Subscribe send email to: - > >DETOX WITH ALL NATURAL PURE GREEN CALCIUM >BENTONITE CLAY USED >INTERNAL/EXTERNAL <http://clayadvantage.com/>http://clayadvantage.com/ > >THE OPEN LINE NEWSPAPER, HEALTH NEWS, SPIRITUAL, >ENVIRONMENT, ETC. <http://WWW.THEOPENLINE.ORG>http://WWW.THEOPENLINE.ORG > >RELAXATION TECHNIQUE FOR CHRONIC PAIN, PTSD + >OTHER ISSUES THAT TROUBLE >YOU. <http://relaxationheals.webs.com>http://relaxationheals.webs.com
