We were stupid and gave my husband who was diagnoised with ALS - lipitor. It spread the symptoms like wild fire into his upper bulbar region. Now can someone explain this to me? Why is liptor being researched and given to people in clinical trails to people as a CURE and treatment for ALS? What am I missing here? Yes the drug needs to be researched to see why it causes ALS in people, but not as the cure for the disease. I have talked to the DR. at the research hospital that is invovled with the trial. The study does have a pharmaceutical company funding the study. Our government is so worried about the safety of the American public that they want to take common vitamins and supplements away from us to protect us. What the hell. My husband has been fighting LYME induced ALS for over 7 years. ( That's all ALS is people, serious Lyme disease from the co-infections. ) yet, no one in in CDC , AMA and any governmental infectious disease organization will tell you the horrible health risks from lyme disease. You just don't get it from ticks - it's from ANY BITING INSECT - EVEN FLEAS OFF YOUR PETS !!!!!!!!!!!!! It's time for us to rally togheter and let our voices be heard.
