Guest guest
Fibromyalgia has been proven to be caused by low thyroid/low metabolic state which can be caused by toxins with mercury being one of the main sources. Lab testing for thyroid is not always reliable. Many people show normal labs with low thyroid.Body temp and symptoms seem to be the most reliable.Try taking your morning temp for a few days and if it is below 97.8 that is a good indicator of low thyroid. The sites below will tell you how to do the temp since women's temp varies due to menstrual cycle. Check out www.drlowe.com Dr Lowe has spent years researching this with great success. Also read ....http://www.drrind.com/ My fibro went away with high dose of thyroid. You need a progressive doc not a doc in the box to help with this. All they know how to do is medicate with antidepressants, pain meds etc from which you will only become more toxic and not healed. Hope this helps. Chantal
Guest guest
I'm interested in learning more about the gluten free diet that helped your husband with firbromyalgia. I've been avoiding all grains, but would like to experiment with adding some to my diet that are gluten-free. Marlena <<Starting to eat gluten free did wonders for my husband. Guest guest
generally nearly all the people i've helped with "fibromyalgia" have heavy metals in their body. Ofthen this is from mercury dental fillings. I generally suggest 1-4 G MSM per day depending on the amt of metals/fillings. Also a serotonin-based AD drug or 5-HTP is helpful. Guest guest
Joyce,If you want to eliminate your problem, you will need to change your lifestyle. There are many things tied to this condition. If you have amalgam (mercury) fillings, have them replaced with porcelain. Use non toxic household cleaners (health food store items), eat organic food; commercial foods contain mercury, aluminum, pesticides, etc.and they lack nutrients; use natural deodorant, commercial deodorant contains aluminum chlorhydrate, and other toxic chemicals, that soak into your skin; avoid perfumes, after shave colognes, fluoride toothpaste, commercial cosmetics; they contain toxic metals, etc.; avoid toxic products such as any product that contains chlorine. Avoid swimming pools that contain poisons; chlorine, muriatic acid, bromine; get an air cleaner for your home; EPA studies have shown that indoor air quality is as much as five times more polluted than outside; hairspray, anti-bacterial products, air fresheners such as febreze, oust, plugins, glade, etc. are all toxic to the body. Put a filter on your water system if you have city water. Avoid cooking with aluminum and non-stick cookware. Avoid microwave ovens. Move if you live close to any kind of high voltage power lines or high voltage transfer stations. Your bed is most likely sprayed with PBDE's. They are flame retardants that are linked to all kinds of health problems. Many people are switching to organic beds and bedding. Suspect everything as being a culprit and look for natural alternatives. This is what I did to get well.I also used herbal medicines, acupuncture, homeopathy, energy psychotherapy, intestinal cleansers, oral chelators, and organic food to get well. There are no magic bullets and no one serves up health on a silver platter. It takes a lot of effort to eliminate problems and improve health. Hope this helps.Jerry AndersonJoyce <joylight wrote: Hi, i'm new to the group 29 years old with fibromyalgia, from Oregon and and wondering what helps you through or deal most of all the fibromyalgia pain? Guest guest
Jerry, I'm so glad I read your reply to Joyce. I have done most of these things too, and after having a tooth with a root canal pulled a few months ago, I find myself struggling with the same issues as before I made all these changes. I am considering using a colon cleansing program, a parasite cleanse, and an oral chelation/detox program...and am wondering what you or anyone else here has had good experiences with. I've had two rounds of IV chelation with EDTA and a third round is more than what my budget can handle right now. Did anyone have good results with the oral chelation programs available? Marlena .
