Guest guest
Is there a type or number plastic that is safe for herb storage? Depending on the type of plastic there are problems with "off gassing" where you will get chemicals coming off the plastic into whatever you have in it. Glass is best. Guest guest
Hi Sharon, Here is a web site with a WEALTH of information on this whole subject (just found it in google). Specifically, in regards to the number (found on the bottom of the container) that would be better it says the following: Avoid plastics with the #3 recycling code that indicates PVC; #1 and #2 plastics are safer since they are chlorine-free. Hope this helps. :)Kelli Mark Cole [me_c] Tuesday, September 28, 2004 12:14 PMherbal remedies Subject: RE: Herbal Remedies - Re: Ideas For Jars...Plastic Is there a type or number plastic that is safe for herb storage?
