I see them everwhere right now. I bought a bunch at a roadside stand and made enough cayenne tincture for a year. At least! You have to grab the fresh stuff now, before it's too late! I have a new favorite place to go....a family run certified organic farm I found tucked away up a barely visible narrow gravel road 15 min. from my house!! This place is wonderful! Today I went there and bought the reddest red leaf lettuce I have ever seen in my life. Right now she's got every kind of squash under the sun, habaneros, bell peppers in yellow, red, and purple, plus kale, collards, chard, garlic, eggplant, onions, potatoes, and cooking herbs. In a month or 2 it will be all gone as the growing season will be over. Then it's back to the old supermarket ;-(. But right now it's wonderful! Guest guest
I took my habernaro peppers and cut them up and put them in vodka how did you do yours?? I just threw mine into a blender whole, put vodka in it and turned the sucker on . Then I just pour the slurry into quart glass jars to sit for a month, or two, or three, etc. Then I'll eventually strain it. Hehe...I make my tinctures the lazy way, but it works. I also have more that I need to get in can I go ahead and mash them up and freeze them for TN? I have a bunch left over too. I don't know what I'll do with them. Total Tonic sounds good. Now to get some of that ever elusive horseradish;-). I have never frozen peppers but I would think it would work fine. Gloria Thanks for any help Sandra

I recently got 2 lbs. of fresh red clover blossoms because Aug- Sept. is the only time they are available from my source. Fresh echinacea root is going to be coming up next, as are hawthorne berries. Once the season is over, you have to wait a whole year to get the fresh herb again. Of course you have to make tinctures with fresh herbs right away. Can't let them sit like you can the dried ones.GloriaFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2.
