Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am back after a long recess, again. We have been plagued with so many problems of the electrical sort that it makes me wonder why on earth I even bother. Boy, sometimes I miss the days were I was living off grid and didn't have to worry about such things so much. Any rate, we are moved back out into the country, away from that God aweful apartment we were living in. We have a little house up on a hill overlooking a big expanse of salt water called the Hood Canal. We have our organic chickens roaming the organic rabbit enclosure, and our free ranging goats are eating up the countryside clearing the way for an orchard while they gestate babies and get ready to give me yummy milk for yogurt and cheese, and of course my homemade soaps. It is a little slice of heaven here for us now. However, since DH got a raise at work, our health coverage is now terminated for him, and we can't afford to buy any, since his job doesn't offer benifits, so I have to get serious quick on my herbal medicine training as the family healer. He is a smoker, something he can't quit on his own, and I don't know how to help him with He quit like 6 times in the 10 years I have known him, but ultimately starts up again because of stress. Needless to say, he has a lot of trouble with Asthma, and bronchitis. I got really scared short while back, as he came down with a bad bout of it, and I couldn't get on line to get help from you precious people. I prayed a lot for help, and came up with using GSE in orange juice 4 times a day and Oil of Oregano 3 times a day at higher doses than manufacture suggests. I tried to get him to take a tincture of Lobelia, but he said it tasted like 151 proof and he wouldn't touch it. He knew he was depending on me so he let me torture him with the GSE and OoO, but man, did he stink up the bathroom because of the oregano!! Any way, after a lot of prayer, and stuffing these things into him, he improved! I have to say, I was 1) hugely relieved, and 2) quite surprised, as his bronchitis is usually very severe and he has ended up with pneumonia even on antibiotics before. I was very scared we were going to have a lot of trouble and I was possibly going to loose him. I am going to try to get some TT asap, since it sounds like a lifesaver, and he LOVES hot stuff, so he should have a blast taking it. Until he can stop smoking for good, I am going to have to be extra armed and ready for trouble. I just wanted to say thank you for the courage you people have given me to take care of my love. I would be lost without him, and I know he would say the same about me. He is a tough case, but he is letting me work him over into a healthier lifestyle, little by little, partly because he is tired of feeling so cruddy and packing around so much extra weight, and because he knows I need him to last for a while. ;O> Bless all of you! Guest guest
Welcome back Kim! Your new spread sounds like a neat patch of heaven! You might want to see if your DH likes the taste of Huff 'n Puff (lobelia and mullein together) any better than straight lobelia. He can use this while he quits smoking as well.
