Guest guest
Hello, and thanks to all that replied about my problem with back pain. My twelve year old son was diagnosed with chronic sinusitis after years of suffering from migraines. He has been prescribed a pain reliever which makes him extremely drowsy (he's a very active child so he will refuse to take it unless the pain becomes unbearable) and they also prescribed a nasal spray that has steriods. I'm not comfortable with either of the medications, especially the nasal spray. Any ideas of what we could use to help his condition and avoid the steriods? His body is still developing and regardless what his doctor says, I feel that any amount of steriods is harmful to a person especially a child. Thanks for the help! Guest guest
You can get a grapefruit seed extract nasal spray at the local healthfood store. This will help out a lot. This will be a lot better in the long run than steroids and pain killers. There is some underlying problem that is causing the sinus infections. Has your son been on antibiotics before?? If so for how long and how long ago?? He may have a candida overgrowth that could play a role in the sinus problems. You should look into the files for Intestinal Cleanse #1 and #2. The grapefruit seed extract is a natural way to curtail the infection but it won't go after the cause of the problem. Guest guest
Yes, sounds like his immune system has been compromised something drastic. To build the immune system, use Echinacea tincture and Total Tonic (in the files). But yes, I agree that the cause should be found. Perhaps you should give Doc a call? I'm sure he would be able to get to the bottom of it. love Lisa - d_bo89 herbal remedies Tuesday, September 21, 2004 3:44 PM Herbal Remedies - Chronic sinusitis Hello, and thanks to all that replied about my problem with back pain. Guest guest
Hi, At 12 yrs old, your son is definitely old enough to do the total body cleanse. This would definitely handle the situation completely. Short of that, improving the diet significantly should help him reduce the symptoms over time. For short term problems (while diet changes and/or cleanse is being planned) there is the herbal snuff (info should be in the files) that can help with congestion, and the Pain and Headache Formula for migraines. The first nutrition steps I would take are to get him off sugar and dairy, add Total Nutrition and Total Tonic, and use Echinacea when these things hit him. Panther Piss would also help when he has a migraine, but be sure he takes his Vitamin E with that.
