Guest guest
Pink, 5-HTP is the first metabolite of tryptophan. It does raise serotonin levels, but it is unlikely to cause any problems if you are diagnosed with depression. However in my experience, many people that believe they are depressed are actually deficient in B-Complex and Omega-3 fatty acids. I usually do not suggest 5-HTP to my customers until they have tried the B-complex and Omega-3 for at least one month. Diet can also cause depression. Too many sodas along with refined with flour and sugar can deplete the body of the vitamins and mineral needed for normal brain function.
