Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have been on a mission for three years of tranforming the way the rest of my family eats besides just myself. Originally I started with myself to experiment with tastes and flavors etc. And since I am the cook for our family I am trying to slowly wean them all off junk food and the store bought items with everything unnaturally added to them. I have gotten them to eat alot more fresh veg and fruit by keeping it cleaned and cut in a " serving\ " relish tray in the fridge. This has helped so so much. Now I am trying to move on to the next step of the actually meals and am having trouble finding meals to cook for the family that they will all eat.. we are not totally vegan as my husband and daughter are meat lovers and I love shrimp. ) I would like to find a site or sites or get some recipes from somewhere that are tastefull and healthy that I can make from scratch. Lot of things I need help with and I have searched even Amish recipe books wich I got for Christmas last year but alot of them as for additives or things I never hear of. My main goal to begin this part of my life is to search for recipes that require NO canned or premade items from the store. I want to make them all myself are as follows. Spaghettie Sauce Jelly Peanut Butter As far as the rest goes, most of our family meals are Pasta with olive oil and fresh veggies sauted in olive oil .. salt and pepper. It isn't bland and my family likes the different choices of veggies but hey you can only serve pasta and veggies so much before they start to complain that that is all they eat. HELP - looking for guidance hugs Deana >
Guest guest
Deanna....Have you tried sprouting yet ? There are some yummy and nutritious things that you can do with sprouted almonds , like almond milk shakes , " halvah " , etc. Here is a site geared towards " live " sprouted foods but you may get some ideas . http://www.living-foods.com/recipes/ " Fit For Life " has some terrific recipes in the back . One of my favorites is Shepherd's Pie . Another idea book is " Kathy Cooks Naturally " .And Valorie Shillington's book is terrific .. I am sure that our other members have some good suggestions too . Hope this helps to give you some ideas....Mary O > > Hi everyone, I have been on a mission for three years of tranforming the > way the rest of my family eats besides just myself.
