Guest guest
Dear Deana I don't think that there is so many misinformation on this site. Contrary, I think it is very good site, and has good points. If I have to choose between commercial formula and one that is on this site, I would chose the second one. Unfortunately my daughter thinks that commercial formula is good enough for her child and I don't agree with that. But we all have freedom of choice when it comes to our children, it would be the best if children can choose for themselves. Guest guest
Oh, thiis IS scary. I'm a breastfeeding advocate and this is SO wrong. The who health organization (I hope I'm quoting this right.) has formula listed as FOURTH option - not next best thing to mother's milk. The next is milk from another mother. The third is banked milk. This article is even scarier - from the same website. http://www.westonaprice.org/children/breastfeed.html Tammi - Deana healthy_parenting ; herbal remedies Monday, September 13, 2004 1:41 PM Herbal Remedies - Re: [HP] all I can say is wow.. the misinformation I had to share this site I found and it is so full of misinformution it is quite scary.http://www.westonaprice.org/children/recipes.htmlhugsdeana
Guest guest
I agree, I'm also a breastfeeding advocate (because of what I KNOW about breastfeeding from school and what I SEE empirically in society every day). These are the same clowns (Fallon & Enig) who dissed soy milk hard (for different reasons than its organic-vs-GM makeup), saying it can cause tumors, etc. Ironically, the ONLY diatribe against soy on the web (again, not having to do with the question of organicy, if that's a word) are made by these two, and they make some claims that I think are relatively unsubstantiated. And again, these are the only people that I've seen championing against it. Now, this was a year and a half ago, when I was doing my initial soy research, so if anyone has a CREDIBLE study (by someone other than these two women), please do correct me and let me know, because all I'm ever after is the TRUTH. (If clients/patients come to me, I need to be able to give them the best true information I can get my hands on, and if what I already " know " is wrong, I need to learn " right " .) Love to all, --Jen PS: Did you know that the first breastmilk to come out is not nutrients much at all, but rather IMMUNE-BUILDING material?? Shoots that whole " vaccination is necessary " bit right out the window, don'tcha think? herbal remedies , " tammi " <da_good_stuff@w...> wrote: > Oh, thiis IS scary.
