low energy level (sad)

I am investigating SAD on the internet. I moved from Texas hill country to north central Arkansas. Did you purchase the lights or what did your wife do?

But as an educated guess because you mentioned 'winter', have you looked into the possibility that you are suffering from seasonal affective disorder. You can find all the info on the net.
