Guest guest
Do any of you know any herb company comparison place on the net that is trustworthy. Kind of like consumer reports. I haven't been able to find anything. I don't like buying herbs in general from anywhere because I mean how much trust can you put into what you read, unless there are trusted places that show that the herbs you are buying are high grade, and not just a company " easy selling " anything and any part of the plants not knowing which to actually sell. LOL Am I making sense ?? Hugs Deana >
Guest guest
Hi Deana, Yes, you are making sense! LOL! I don't know of anything like what you're asking about, but I have seen people on this list report good things about herbalcom.com and mountainroseherbs.com. The advice I've seen before is to call them and talk to them. You can ask about fresh/dried, organic/wildcrafted, parts of the plant, etc. If you're not comfortable with the information then I wouldn't order from them. You'll probaly be able to tell by talking with them. Guest guest
This company is for what Kathy? They look like they have beauty products, but they are not organic, let alone all natural. How does this answer Deana's question? I'm confused... I deal with a couple bulk herbs companies that I totally trust. I've gotten herbs from them and they are the best. I can tell immediately when I open the bags. The herbal tinctures I make from them are strong and work extremely well. I don't know of any Consumer Report type places that evaluates commercial herbal manufacturers. You'll probaly be able to tell by talking with them I just received an order from Mountain Rose and it was excellent stuff. I could smell the strong herbal aroma of each herb immediately and knew it was very fresh and high quality. I have never talked to them on the phone though. I have also ordered from Pacific Botanicals and highly recommend them. The people on the phone really know their stuff and their quality has always been top-notch. Guest guest
As a retailor of herbal products that is one of my utmost concerns. Bulk herbs have always been a problem as anyone can put powder into a bag or can and put a label on it. Another problem with bulk herbs is the processing and storage. Many herbal chemicals are aqueous in nature. When they are dried, they lose most of their potency. I prefer capsules or extracts for just that reason. Some words of advice: Spend a little more on name brands and then you dont have to worry about what you are buying. Too many of my customers try to save a dollar or two by buying over the net or at costco, etc, and they end up in worse shape than taking nothing. Guest guest
Hi Kelli, I am sorry. I was addressing the integrity question and did not put the name of the company in the previous email so I did it in the one you saw... Sorry it was so brief. Yes, this company has some beauty products but it is a company that has highly purified natural ingredients. I thought I read that she was looking for companies that deliver on thier Herbal products. I know for certain that this company does because I use the nutritionals and they do as they say they will. Take Care, Kathy Shop for Back-to-School deals on Shopping.
