As my own complete conjecture here, but I would expect that Post Partum Psychosis is similar, at least in some ways. The baby really does pull a lot of nutrition - especially key minerals - from you and it's growing really fast just before birth. Then, of course, there's the nursing. One specific reference I saw linked PPD to a zinc deficiency. Anyway, I would highly recommend to make sure you're on Total Nutrition and keep your diet as good as possible. I saw another post to you on this subject with herb suggestions as well. I'm sure these things will help.
